Actually i did ask one of the other girls about it, they all seem to do it and I'm not sure if anyone else besides me is aware of the health risks involved with this practice. We were informed by our female manager to wear a junior light tampon and take it out immediately after we're done with our shift. The reasoning behind this rule is that all women have discharge and that this keeps it off the floor, and customers i guess. I am considering talking with our manager about it and asking her if she understands the consequences that it renders for us. Other than that the club is decent, it's just that one rule that is rediculous. And yes, i'm sure that i could just not wear one, but to be honest, i have a lot of discharge and it probably benefits me to wear one anyways, as long as i'm not having any side effect.

This may sound gross but when I think about "improper fluids" at a club, I think about the guys that get a little too excited - not super leaky dancers.
I know at some clubs girls can't climb the pole without their bottoms on because of discharge, which I think makes a lot of sense. But for a club to be so paranoid about discharge on the floors and customers that they make the dancers wear plugs 24/7 - that's bananas!
Perception is Reality

Bah...it just surprises me that a female manager suggests this. Whatever, though...maybe she just doesn't care or something.Originally Posted by funtasticFerra
Thanks all for your thoughts! I really appreciate it. I thought it was a strange request and I'm glad that it isn't required anywhere else! I do think it's a bit crazy myself.
You all make really good points!
