Default How to tell club you've found somewhere else

I've been working at a club for about two weeks, and I'm not making the kind of money that I want. Last night I made 103 dollars. I was planning on finishing the shifts I'm scheduled for, and finding another place. How should I let the other club know? I know this isn't a big deal. I just want to find a way to tell them without burning any bridges.

    Thanks.

Well why don't you go find another club, and work there on your "off days" at the lower earning club. Then compare/contrast. If the grass is greener on the other side, after a few weeks, then go to your manager and privately tell him your feelings. Let him know that you aren't trying to burn any bridges. Any civil minded person will appreciate your sincerity.

Don't ever tell period....club management is never civil minded....just say you got a straight job. If you tell the truth in this case you will be considered "untrustworthy." Irony you could cut with a knife, greedy club owners demanding loyalty from Independent Contractors. LOL

Don't tell them your leaving to another club. Say that your too busy with school, family, etc. They won't mind. In their minds, they are like "girls come and go." Also, be careful when looking for other clubs. Most owners also Co-own other clubs. Don't leave the first club without setting things straight first cause it just might screw you on your other opportunities for other jobs.

Just don't show up. Seriously. Unless it's, like, a really professionally run, upscale club. Then you tell them that you don't feel as if you fit in and are not comfortable or that you need a change of scenery because you are burning out. Usually, they'll be okay with that and invite you to come back anytime. Mind you, this may not work for most clubs.

When I left my first club, I straight up said that I was leaving. I thought that I was doing the right thing. I was told that I was not good enough anywhere, that I would never make any money, that I was too big for my britches thinking that I was better than them. I should have just disappeared without a word.

Just say it isn't working out, be vague, say you have a lot going on and if things change then you will give them a call.

Ring or call in and say that you're not totally sure that your cut out for the job and want a break. That way you can go back if it doesn't work out at the new club.

burning your bridges is always bad And it's easier to do than you would think....If I were you, I would first go get hired elsewhere, make sure you like it and when you are sure you do.....tell the manager at your home club that you will not be able to work for the next couple months do ....whatever excuse fits what they know about your life....also mention that you hope when the above is resolved, that you will be able to work there again. It's best to make them feel like you love your job, but have to leave.
