Default Advice on dancing in gowns needed.

Recently I've been wearing more and more gowns at work. They look classy-hot and few other girls at my club wear them, so I stand out (in a good way). However, I'm accustomed to dancing in little tops and skirts or booty shorts, and a lot of my stage dancing involves rolling around on the floor.

I don't wanna roll around on the floor in my pretty new dresses! I need some ideas and suggestions on how to dance while wearing a long dress.

Do you have to wear the long dress on stage? In one of the clubs I work in it is a gown/long dress type of club however on stage we are allowed to wear what-ever we please. Most dancers who are wearing dresses on the floor change into something 'easier' to dance within on stage.

I personally have a School Girl outfit set aside for stage-only when it is busy. When the stage is slower (not many people in the club and/or no tips generally), I have a short dress of the same colour of the long dress I am wearing that I wear on stage.

We have to wear gowns often at my club. As ugly a word as it sounds, be prepared to do a lot of squatting. I also grab a corner of my skirt and bend over so a little of my booty peeks out. I know I'm sounding a little ghetto right now but I do it very slowly and sensuously. I also only like two peice gowns. That way I can whip off my skirt at any time and do my floor work.

Dancing in a gown should be done slowly with less hard core dance moves, rather dance more seductively , slower, sexy, standing upright movements it's a classy look so therfore you want to keep it classy and elegant.....not fast or hard core or on the floor,it just doesn't look right........save all your pole tricks,etc..etc.. floor work for after you've taken your gown off(2nd song etc)
