    Default Moisturizing hair conditioners

Well since my hair trim (I still feel bald) I have been trying to keep up w/takin' care of hair. I have Aveda Damage Remedy (new prod. it's great). But, I know you have to alternate it w/a moisturizing conditioner. Which I've been looking for a good one. Tried the Aveda one, Brillant, & it sucked. I also tried a new prod. by Treseme, but it's kinda so-so. So, any suggestions, thanks!

Biolage, Whirl.. They have an excellent conditioning balm. Plus regular conditioner. A little goes a long way, so it lasts longer too.

Someone in another thread recommended Frederick Fekkai's Shea products. They're moisture packed and smell incredible. I like Phytologie's Phyto-Seasame line, too.

When I got my hair cut in layers, my stylist took out alot of the burnt dead hair. So the next couple of days I put on V05 deep conditioning treatment(it comes in a little jar)...OMG, best shit ever. My hair looked full & felt really smooth. Left it on for 30 minutes with the cap on.

    Five bucks a jar.

i think the aveda brilliant sucks too. you could try the deep penetrating conditioner. OR you could try the clear moisture line from redken. (love that). There is also a product you can get at sally's called silk effects. It's for african american hair but works WONDERS on dry hair of any texture. Smells like apples, too. it comes in a tub/jar thing and has a gold lid.

There are lots of kinds that come in a wide tub and have the consistency of thick mayonnaise. Actual mayonnaise works too, in a pinch; it's nothing but eggs (protein) and oil. Smear it on thick, only on the ends, and let it sit. Be sure not to let it get on your roots or your hair will look dirty and greasy.

Frederic Fekkai Protein RX is amazing!!! After every use your hair cuticle gets softer and softer. Trust me, i have major hair problems and if this can make my hair feel silky and soft, it"ll work on anyone. Downside is its $30 for each product, but who can put a price on great hair?

My very favorite is giovanni products.

I like their four elements line. their website is a pain in the ass but their products rock.

You can also buy it here:

    conditioners:

I prefer the direct leave-in, vitapro fusion and 50/50 Balance Remoisturizer. I add a drop or three of jojoba oil to the direct leave-in during the winter, or if my hair's feeling dry. I use the vitapro fusion as a detangler (my hair tangles like nobody's business!)

Try the Giovanni leave-in conditioner, esp the spray-in kind if you prefer the spray-in variety. I have hair that tangles like a rat's nest, and after diligent use, my hair does not tangle nearly as easily. My BF has superfine hair, and he aboslutely loves it because it prevents dry/split ends without weighing his hair down.

Yep good ole Mayo!!!! If you want thickness use it as a warm conditioner! Just heat it up. Works pretty good imo. Olive oil still rocks for me, but it will make the hair lie flatter than a mayo treatment!

Oil doesn't work for me; it makes my hair dull and limp. I use mayo sometimes but usually I prefer the conditioner that just looks like mayo (it smells better!). And BTW, a vinegar rinse will make your hair super-shiny.

I have heard about using a beer rinse to make hair shiny also..but isn't alcohol horrible for your hair?

You can use flat beer. I knew a German girl that would leave open beer on the counter for a day or so before using it. Another way to do is it to heat up beer (get it hot but not boiling or simmering) to help the alcohol evaporate, let it cool and then use it.

I would use a vinegar rinse before a beer rinse, personally.
