Smiley any teachers?.. oh and hi

    Hi!

I'll start with "I'm not a stripper", but I would love to be one. But things prevent me from doing so. Mainly being a High School teacher and living in a city with less than 400,000. But I think strippers are great, My husband and I always go to a bar or too when on holiday. Well was just curious about whether there are teachers that strip as well? Or is it a full time job?

Well please say hi...by the way i live in ChCh... if you know where it is you will know where it is.

I was a teacher, but I quit a year ago. I'm in school again now and dancing is paying for it. And dancing is so much more fun than teaching!!! Jenna

haha Varsity Blues! I am single so I don't have to worry about that. Your partener should support your desires and wishes. I love dancing! I was so nervous at first, but I always wanted to try it. You should look into traveling for a weekend and try it out, that's what I did. I look forward to when I get do dance, it is like an alter-ego. It is something I always wanted to do, it really helps w/ grad school $$.

I used to teach special ed science in the ghetto in Chicago. Hated it. Hubby is very supportive of my dancing, b/c I am so much happier than I was teaching.

I do not strip, for my doing so would set the profession back 30 years. Nor do I visit strip clubs, for people who make change at church offering plates are generally too cheap to visit strip clubs. I do, however, visit this site on occasion because I find the people to be well educated and informed, and quality people at that.

I do teach, or make an attempt at it. It is part of my midlife crisis, having been a Petroleum Engineer for 25 years. I have taught at the university level for 14 years (Part time in the beginning and full time now) and became certified to teach high school 3 years ago. I like it, for some strange reason, and I must be doing it right, for the school keeps asking me back. Other than being a lottery winner, there is nothing I would rather do.

The only problem I have is that some parents frown on physics teachers who perform demonstrations in superconductivity while doing Marlon Brando and Popeye impressions. No, I don't know why.

I taught 8th grade honors math for two years and 5th grade for one year. Then I fell into dancing "just" to make ends meet. That was 6 years ago and I haven't looked back

My first year of dancing I taught Mon-Fri, and danced only on Fri and Sat nights. As soon as I got the hang of it, I was making more money in 5 hours than I did in the 40+ hours of a teacher's week . So I put in my notice at the school and used dancing to pay for grad school. My master's only took 3 semesters and when I was done there was no way I was going to work 4 times as many hours for 1/4 of the pay.

I agree wholeheartedly with Colleen, I'm much happier now than I was when I was a stressed out teacher. As wacky as it sounds, I actually feel much more respect from the customers than I did from 8th graders. I always joke around that 8th grade boys and drunk men are one in the same...it's all behavior management and the boys didn't stick dollars in my pencil jar

Cosmicgirlym, are you are thinking of dancing yourself or just curious? Since Canada is a bit less Puritanistic than the US the rules may be a little different...like would your teaching job be jeapordized if someone found out? A few years ago in FL I recall a teacher getting fired for doing a wet tshirt contest. As for seeing your students, are highschoolers even old enough to get into strip clubs in Canada?

I taught HS English and Theatre for three years in the mid-90s. I hated the hours, the union, the mandated curriculum and the bells.

I currently work as an administrator and children's theatre actor for a mid-sized professional theatre company and dance twice a week to make up for that snazzy non-profit pay.

Yes, I have had former students enter the club.
Yes, I have had parents of former students enter the club.
Yes, I have had the theatre's subscribers enter the club.

From all accounts, a good time was had by most.
