Default Question for dancers in NC

For those of you who dance in NC, could you tell me if, and which, clubs require a license or other substantial paperwork that would leave a trail? Or do all clubs have required paperwork that would be traceable? I tried to look up licensing requirements online, but didn't have any luck >_< . Thanks!

There are no clubs in N.C. that reqire licenses or paperwork. You just walk in and dance. Most dont even check I.D.

In the town of Wilmington we were supposed to have a dancer's license that gets updated yearly....but you can dance there until you get one, they just want you to do it eventually. I work in Raleigh now and there is no dancing license requirements here.

Thanks for the info...I'm interested in getting into dancing, but I don't want it to hinder future school or job opportunities, so the only way I'd feel comfortable doing it would be if I knew there was no paper trail.
