    Default Building up the courage....

I'm a 21 year old male saving for college right now and although I have a pretty well-paying job, it's not paying well enough to save. My friend works at a club as a bartender and I got the idea of dancing. I have been a polynesian dancer for the past 2 years (yes, loin cloth and all) and am pretty sure I have some moves that people in Montana have never seen before. When I told my girlfriend about my prospective stripping, she flipped! (and then started asking people how I could sign up, he he) I just want to know some of the things about the business (ie. average pay, average customer in male strip club, embarrassment and eventually, dance moves.) Can anyone help??

Just be aware that EVERYONE who knows you're a male stripper is going to assume you're gay.

    Have fun though, and kudos.

LoL.. yes the biggest sterotype with male strippers is they are gay...
Be prepared to have men hit on you...
Money really depends on the club, your hustle, your moves etc..
I think we have one or two male strippers on here, im not sure.
Sadly i've never been to a male stip club... I keep saying im going to go to chipndales just havnt made it yet.
Good luck and welcome to SW
Ladies I think we need to see body shots of him

Hi all. I'm new here, seeking knowledge and advice. I must admit, being a guy on this forum I feel a bit awkward, please bear with me as I learn. My user name is a ripoff of a Star Trek character but my name is Steve

I agree that for a male, getting into this business means being hit on by gay guys, but that has happened to me since my earliest childhood. Since I became a nurse I have been hit on by guys too many times to count. I love it when the girls hit on me but I hate when the guys do. I am not gay and I do not begrudge anyone their chosen lifestyle, I just prefer not to be hit on by a man. People should realize when there is nothing there? If I hit on a woman and get no response, I take the hint and move on. Some gays take the hint while others do not. I'm quite certain you ladies have had this problem, how about you Lag, and how do you handle it?

Hey you! I'm in Montana right now too! Anyway, I know quite a bit about male dancers (being as I married one), and have been told by other male dancers that my dance style is similar to that of a male stripper. (only I have very nice large breasts!!)

I have to get ready for work right now, but I wanted to let you know that I plan to post more about getting started as a male dancer. Just like with the women, some men make and others just don't know how to perform in a sexy (yet macho) manner.

    Anyway, I'll post more tommorrow.

    XOXOXXX Paris Love

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Jackson- To be honest, I havent danced for anyone other than girlfriends- I'm just waiting to get all of the information before I start professionally. The only thing that I'm worried about is giving dudes lapdances. Not homophobic- just not comfortable with dry humping a dude.

"The only thing that I'm worried about is giving dudes lapdances" Yikes, is that part of the job? Uh gulp, I need to think this over. Seriously, do you think you would have to do that? I'm not a homophobe either, I work with gay guys all the time, some are cool , some are buttholes.

"I plan to post more about getting started as a male dancer."
That would be a big help Paris.
