I've read that it is normal in Brazil.

I've seen it a few times, and they have all done well (with men who have that fetish).

Ive seen several pregnant girls and most male customers cant tell they are preggers. Even ones that do pole tricks too.

My friend worked til she was six months pregnant, and she managed to conceal it. She didn't go on stage, wore a skirt with a cute longish runched up top, and did not take the top off unless she was in VIP. (by that point she allready had a lot of money off a customer, you know, up front so if they didnt like that she was pregnant, too bad) She would just pull it down other her boobs otherwise.

im not from the US but i danced up untill i was 7 months pregant .. wasnt huge or anything and would keep something over my tummy .. still i made good money .. i dont see the harlm in it as long as ya look after yaself![]()

I think if your preg you shouldnt be dong pole work. (the hanging upsde downkind) I think its irresponsible thatyou could fall and possibly harm baby for a couple of bucks. Pole work doesn't really bring in that much extra $,so I dont have a problem with them dancing, just no pole work.

I've worked with a few. They were obvious. It turned a lot of customers off.
If/when I find out I'm pregnant, no more dancing. No smoke in the air, no heels killin my back, nada.
Number of times Rickrolled on stage: 6

Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."

That would be my concern...that it's not good for the baby. But, it's kinda hard for some who depend on that money and the realization that they have quite a few months without anything coming in. Have to weigh the pros and cons, I guess. Good thing would be to work in a smoke free club and wear shoes with enough platform to even out the arch a little. Personally, I have no problem with it.Originally Posted by PaigeDWinter

Most of them ended in abortions, but quite a few of the girls let the pregnancy go so late until it showed. 2 girls kept their kids. one works day shift and is obviously pregnant. she says her money has decreased only b/c she doesn't go up on stage and b/c she doesnt drink (we get drink comission). the other girl is more wide than round so it's not as obvious.
I couldn't do it. like everyone said b4, the smoke, the heels, etc. Plus, I think of pregnancy as a really pure moment and dancing isn't so pure to me (that just my opinion, don't get offended). I've always told my bf, there are only 4 things that would make me quit dancing:
1) If I got pregnant, though I would probably go back after depending on my financial situation
2) If I got married
3) If I got a job that paid more
4) If break my leg

If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

I recently saw a dancer on stage who was pregnant and she looked like she was at least 6 or 7 months. It really bugged me. As a straight female customer, I have to say that pregnant chicks are just not very sexy. It kind of icked me out - but some of the other customers were tipping her... I guess it's a choice thing - like everything else. However, if I was dancing, I wouldn't want to do it pregnant for fear that I might hurt the baby.
I think preg chicks are still sexy. As long as the mommy to be is being careful, not doing overly dangerous or flippy pole tricks then some spins and such aren't bad for her. When your body is used to having that physical activity, you'd be amazed how much less stress it is to continue to dance [again, carefully]. Most preg. dancers that quit as soon as they find out:
1. are pissed at themselves because they don't have the income they need anymore
2. can't get back in shape as fast after the baby
3. gain tremendous amounts of weight due to the combination of new inactivity and baby weight gain
4. become depressed because their life has changed so dramatically
Not that every dancer feels any of those ways if she becomes preg and quits right away, but most have a severe identity crisis when they quit work right away because they are used to living on a higher income as well as keeping their body sexy. If they keep dancing until they start obviously showing they are usually happier with their body's after preg outcome and with the amount they were able to save after they found out. That's just been my personal experience.

All the above was true for me - I quit the day I found out I was pregnant - became very depressed sitting at home while my DJ boyfriend was still at the club.Originally Posted by Phedre

wouldn't all the second hand smoke be harmful to the baby, also I dont think there's anything wrong with preggo dancers it's wonderful thing............ and good luck future mothers, make that money
I don't know exactly how harmful second hand smoke would be to the baby, but honestly, some girls can't help but dance when they are pregnant. This is how we pay our bills, and there are going to be even MORE bills to come after baby soo... although it might not be the ideal situation, I don't see how it's wrong.
If I were pregnant, I would have to dance, I mean, you know, this is my JOB. I can't support myself working at McDonalds, ya know?
I don't know about the rest of America, but I sure as heck don't want to see it!![]()

That's the same way I feel. I wouldn't be putting my baby at risk by doiing the club sceneOriginally Posted by PaigeDWinter

That's why you're supposed to be saving. No one wants to dance for 30+years. You are supposed to be building a nest egg, so that hopefully life will be more comfortable later on. It bothers me seeing women who "used to dance" and all they did when they danced was spend money on clothes, shoes, exotic trips etc. When it's all said and done, what do they really have to show for it? Buying nice things for yourself is fun, shit you deserve it. But all good things should come in moderation. ***Ok this is CK the finance major talking****Originally Posted by vegasbebe

I couldn't watch a stripper dance if I knew she was pregnant. I'd be so concerned about the baby that I would be distracted and couldn't enjoy the dancing.
I danced up until i was four months prego with y son. No one knew it. I stoped doing pole tricks and took it easy. I also stayed dancing once a month til the end just for the excercise. it is very bad to stop excercising when you get pregnant for you and the baby, so actually unless you start dancing when you find out you are prego as long as you take it easy, you will not harm the baby.
Some of us arent prepared to stop dancing and support ourselves for 9+ MONTHS to go thru a pregnancy and take care of the baby.
Any customer that would say something to a prego chick for dancing needs to be slapped. People dont have to like how you look, but they need to respect the fact that she is comfortable with herself to get up there and shouldnt be discriminated against!

I had a roommate for a while that danced while she was pregnant. She really didn't want to, but she didn't feel like she had much of a choice since her baby's daddy was on some other s%[email protected] She sucked it in as much as possible, wore a lot of black, and did extreme eye make-up to keep the focus away from her belly.
And I know another dancer that got paid to squirt/breastfeed men.
There was no smoking or drinking at the club although I think both of them smoked a little bud.
If a woman isn't endangering her child and she is comfortable dancing while pregnant - more power to her!! Pregnant dancers need support/money too.
Perception is Reality
Long as she lets me know, or turns me down, before i buy her a drink i don't care. She's pregnant, that's cool. That's really cool. Why trip? You like her, you like her. Who cares what package she's carrying.
honestly though i've seen a few girls who were pregnant working in the clubs and guys tend to feel sorry for them and tip them more... i've seen it first hand.... it may only help them to get more money than if they weren't pregnant... i saw a pregnant stripper once make 400+ dollars in a two hour span.. thats pretty damn good if u ask me..
Most of the time when a girl is dancing while she's pregnant it's because she didn't plan it and therefore didn't save the additional $5000+ that it costs to pay for all the Dr visits and delivery. If they stop dancing right away then they basically end up living off the state for support. It makes for a VICIOUS cycle of dependency and depression. As long as a girl isn't walking around with a bowling ball on her belly, a cig in hand, and a drink on the bar .... then what does it really matter if she is carrying a baby. She is healthier keeping active and mentally happier too because she can take care of herself still and not sit around wallowing in grief of being broke and getting fat.
