    Default Outcall Startup

I am researching a startup company for an outcall dance/entertain co. and curious if there are seasoned owners/managers that could lend some advice for someone that is experienced with other business ventures in other industries, but new to this industry and business model...I appreciate any correspondence and I am available via email as well...
    Thanks

    Hi emromulus,

I also currently own/operate a business in an unrelated industry, however am looking for advice/direction for a successful start up Entertainment Company. In searching for a “business model” or “day to day processes that would make it a success”, I must say I have been disappointed by the lack of information on the internet. I can only share my experiences with those interested to perhaps save them some time and aggravation.

Before you begin I would speak with a lawyer versed in this business, next would be an accountant (if you don’t already have one in your currently operated businesses.)

I think the back bone to any businesses is cash flow. You need to know the raw costs of your business and profit margin you want to make. Developing a balance sheet with monthly expenses of operation would be a good start.

Next would be a rule set and or contract (lawyer reviewed) to protect yourself, your entertainers, and your clients.

After you figure out what type of entertainment you want to provide, you need to figure out how to let people know you provide it. This is where we are still testing. From advertising in my other business I have learned a bit about what doesn’t work, what works and what is expensive, although that may not apply here. At this moment we have a few things planed but need to check with current zoning laws.

I doubt this was any help, but as I move along I can share my experiences.

    Danny
