    Default DRAMA in the club

Ok, I need to rant a bit....
There is so much drama in my club, I don't know how any of the dancers have time to dance! I have never been involved in any of it, but considering how much trash most of these girls talk about one another, I'm sure there is some $h!t being talked about me. Does anybody else feel like they are working with children?

God, yes. Welcome to the Stripping World! The drama is really bad here because the money is not great so girls will stoop to just about anything to make their money.

I've also noticed a lot of physical fighting in the past few months as well. At the few clubs I work at, there have been no less than 6 fist fights among dancers and even dancers attacking female mgrs and bartenders.

    What gives?

You know, it seems like during Summer/slow time, when we aren't making as much money, drama is at a high. I guess SOME people are cranky when they aren't earning, and start drama because of it! When everyone is making money, you'll notice a positive change(typically). IMHO, of course

some dancers are just so immature.. i remember the first club i worked at... the girls would fight over the pettiest things... stuff an eight year old wouldn't even fight about.... The girls would had been here for a while would make up things that i never said just to make me look like a snotty bitch to the customers... the sad part was, i never even spoke to these girls.. i just did my business without getting involved with the gossip.... ended up moving on to a classier, more respected club...

Apparently last week at my club, an argument between two girls got so heated in the parking lot one of them grabbed the other by the hair and began driving her car with the girl still dangling off. Don't know what it was about and I don't want to know. While the girl it was happened to was telling the story and explaining the particular type of assault charge she was filing against the other girl, two other dancers announced that they've had gotten that charge before too and one of them said she had gotten it three times.

I think a big percentage of dancers are young, uneducated and haven't had any other job experience. Now you can be all of those things and still have a head on your shoulders and be business savvy, but most of the time they just cause trouble. But I feel for you NewGirl - drama is like my number one pet peeve at work. I HATE it. I would take a disgusting, drunk, handsy, crude customer any day over a stupid dancer trying to start shit.

I dont mind the drama. Sometimes it helps knowing girls weaknesses to use to your advantage. Sometimes it's entertaining on slow nights to watch the drama, like a soap opera when your bored. Sometimes drama is just a way some dancers need to vent to get it all out, then get back to work. There's always going to be drama and dancers politics no matter which club you go,its just natural. I like the drama.

Everything that's been posted is so true. I hate drama at work, especially when the the stupid managers won't fire the cause of this problem. At my club there's a girl that hates me because one of her exes came in and got a VIP with me and I didn't even know who he was, othe than a guy with $. So even though its been like six months she still has to start problems every time we work together. She also tries to start shit with all the other girls over nothing, stuff like "why are you looking at me when I'm on stage", or "she stole my song". But still the manager won't get rid of her and it's so fucking irritating.

So far I've found that drama keeps the girls in the dressing room quite a bit--and leaves more room for me on the floor! So, I gotta say I don't have a huge problem with it at this point!

Women are catty, that's the way it is. We are all in competition w/ each other. I agree I like the drama sometimes. It makes for some fun, like a soap opera. I have worked in restaurants, and now in an elementary school. Honestly the drama is everywhere. I just keep to myself mostly, I have one dancer I am good friends w/ and I am cool w/ all the others. Recently the bartender got all pissed off at me, b/c the guy she's dating is a regular, and he was paying a lot of attention to me. This is what happens when you date a custie from a strip club !!

The immaturity is disgusting. Not all strippers are dancing out of choice, but out of necessity and these ones can be pretty volatile. When I first started stripping, the girls were pretty hostile from the moment that I walked in the door, even before I first opened my mouth. I later figured out that it was b/c the club I worked at was basically a stripper retirement home and they hated almost any girl who was a potential threat. Later, I moved to a better club where I had no drama and the girls were much friendlier and accepting.

I once knew a horrible stripper whom I will refer to as Sociopath. Once, the barmaid's boyfriend came in to bring her dinner. Socio, knowing fully well that he was the barmaid's bf, hustled him hard. When he turned her down, Socio went to the barmaid and screamed, "Bitch, you are ruining my business!" She also targeted a wonderful stripper named Angel. Angel is a saint. She nice but tough, is putting her kids through private school, paying off her house, and was going through a messy and expensive divorce. If all people were half as nice as her, the world would be a perfect place. Socio would roughly shove Angel out of the way and steal the guys who Angel was hustling. Her all time low punch was when Socio confronted Angel, saying that either Angel could quit now and make things easier for both of them, or Socio would tell the boss that Angel was stripping at different clubs and have her fired, never mind the fact that Angel was actually putting her money into things other than coke, a boob job, and a Mustang. Luckily, Angel is so sweet that everybody took her side, but Socio has been responsible for a lot of shit everywhere she's been.

^ Yarg. I hope Socio gets hit by a bus. LOL Anyway, I noticed dancers were meaner to me when I was a newbie but now that I'm old and mean, they don't try it to my face.
Seriously, is some overgrown child worth your time? No. If you want to piss those peanutbrained girls off, ask them if they were raised by wolves. LOL People get so uptight when I say that.

I work at the Paper Moon in Winston.

I agree with pretty much everything that has been said. Lately I've noticed that a lot of the drama has kinda calmed down a bit, but I know it will always be there. I mean, what can you expect when you get so many females in one place.

The picture of the fights in Moscow in the Duma came straight to my mind.Very similar, pulling hair, giving each other black eyes, throwing chairs and yelling obscenities...
I hate drama, this is the worst in my opinion problem to deal with while in the club. This happens more often in clubs where it's slower,or no table dancing,or just too much free time on everybody's hands.

God yes!! I try very hard to stay out of the drama...I'm there to make my money and go. But sometimes I just want to bitch slap these girls.

Nothing is ever going well for them...be it their personal life, money, their health, etc. Every day it's new drama, and usually stuff they could do something about if they wanted to. I've come to the decision that they like the drama, that they don't know what to do with themselves if it isnt there. Alot of them also seem to love making themselves feel better by putting others down, or claiming that everyone is trying to be them.

I just try to keep my head above the water. I'm also lucky in that I have a really good guy who helps keep me seeing clearly.

I dont know whether the job helps create the girls, or the job just attracts this type of girl, but man, I think the whole industry needs to grow up.

Sad Re: DRAMA in the club

Girl, please! I am so sick and tired of the babies that come up there and start talking about other girls at the club. Some young women have no work ethics from before. A lot of times, its their first jobs or they always been unprofessional no matter where they worked. The best advice I can give to you is to mind your own business and not to get caught up in any BS. Cause when sh*t hits the fan, who you think they gonna blame? It's always the cute girl's fault.

Maybe that's why I'm so professional or "mature"

Ive had a lot of previous job experience before this
