Exclamation .Not to live in a trailor park part II

Guys aprarently I spoke (well typed) WAY too soon.

We have an estimated 6-8 tornados in this area right now.

So like a good trooper, I naturally want to go check them out, but I'm going to stay at home in the quiet reenforced part of the house and ride it out, if you will.

I'll post later on as to what's happening. But it might not be till tommorrow.

So please don't worry if you don't hear from me for a little while.

    Thanks guys!

Eep. Keep safe, Kitana. We've been under watches all day in the Memphis area and just a little while ago, we got hit with a huge thunderstorm complete with tons of hale pounding on the windows and doors. It was so freaking loud that it woke me and the baby up from our nap. Pfft.

Please be careful. We have storm warnings in the Knoxville area, but not tornado yet. I hope we don't get one, because it seems like they always hit in my Papaw's area.

^LOL.. The thunderstorms, I love.. It's the hail beating on my windows and doors that I don't like. I was so afraid it was going to bust a window.

LOL Whirlz.. I can't believe you remember that. Whew, that was crazy! So far in this new place, no weird drunken ladies have come knocking on my door at 3AM (and peeing in front of my window!), so that's a good thing. But, Whirlz... You can knock on my door anytime!

Ok guys we are safe, for now.

We had anywhere from 3 to 4 actually touch down and do damage, but they weren't too close to us.

Two hit north of us about 65 miles away, and another 1 hit south of us about 40 miles away, and the last one (so far) hit 35 miles west of us.

They said on the news that it was really rare for this area (Henderson, Evansville) to have a tornado. For one to hit downtown Evansville or Henderson either one, it would have to jump the Ohio River at least 2 times, if not three times. While still maintaining intensity, which they usually don't. That's why what happened last weekend (a week and a 1/2 ago) was such a shock. It jumped the river twice then touched back down, then did all that damage.

The only real problem we have had so far, is the power was out for an hour, and I now have a leak in my dining room ceiling. The wind and rain were really bad.

But thanks for thinking about me, lol. (In my very best Eeyore voice...)

They could use a few of these between Indianapolis and Nashville right now.

Then again, metal signs become kinda lethal in 200 MPH winds.

The wind is still horrible here. We just got back from the store. While we were there, we got Delia a balloon. While we were pushing her in the cart to the car.. The balloon took off.

It was out of sight within seconds.

At least we haven't seen any tornadoes though. That's a good thing.

They had a few unconfirmed sightings in the area, but nothing touched down.

They postponed the Miami (Ohio) football game because of the watch out here and then those poor kids had to start playing in wind and rain once it expired. I decided to stay home tonight instead of driving through three counties of tornado watches on the way to work.
