I wasn't sure where to post this, but I have a question. I live in vancouver and commute to portland oregon to dance. there is this little store in vancouver that I sometimes get my outfits, it is the only one i know of in vancouver. I have purchaced several things there before, and have always gotten a discount on clothing, dancewear stores in the portland area offer a 10% discount on clothing if your a dancer. but recently I went in and the lady behind the counter claimed I needed a special card, proving I'm a dancer, that should have been issued by my club. On top of that, she claimed she had never seen me before in her life, when I know she has helped me a few times before, its not a busy store, usually, 99% of the time, I'm the only customer in there. I have never heard of a card issued to dancers just to prove that she was one. I have heard that you need a licence to strip in some states, but that isn't the case in portland, so whats the deal with the card? I'm not getting my panties in a bunch over the 10%, but why did this rule suddenly just started being enforced and why havn't I or any other dance I've asked ever heard of such a thing. I'm just wondering if anybody out there has heard of this type of card...![]()
