    Default Knees on stage question

As you know I have problems with my knees. I want to continue working at this new club but they have literally hard as rock stage made of granite. F-ing genius whoever thought of that great idea.

I need some ideas on what I can use to slide on stage with. I know socks are a good idea but I dont have the shoes to go with them. Any other ideas to help save my knees? Im learning more pole work to stay off the floor but I dont know enough right now.

I've heard about girls who use a towel/blanket/scarf for floor work. Although I dont know how you could sexily carry a towel out to middle of the stage?
I wish I did it though cuz I know my knees always have "stage-burn." haha!

instead of doing ost of your pivoting on your knees, use the toes of your shoes to slide on. it may take aminute to get used to but youll save your knees in the long run

I do a lot of stuff on the floor on my back instead of my knees. Arch your back, tick-tock your legs. You can do stuff on your side, too. Watch the other girls for some ideas. If your knees are hurting you, just don't do anything on them, because it's not worth screwing them up to make an extra few dollars on stage.

You could bust it out "old school". The first song dance standing up and do your pole tricks, etc... Then on the 2nd song, bring a nice warm fuzzy blankie on stage and do your floor work on it.

Hell, most of the older features did it, as well as most of the older girls I know.

Plus it makes it more sensual and sexy, if they (the custys) see you in a blanket and not just on stage.

There's a girl I work with who wraps herself in a quilt and then spreads it out on the stage.

It looks sexy because it makes her look sort of vulnerable and waifish to carry it around her shoulders when she's not on stage.

I like to wear thigh highs or body stockings alot. Helps me slide around really easily. Makes pole work a bitch tho.

Blanket... the fake mink ones... playboy bunny one is nice. When you come onto stage carry it out... leave it at the top until your ready for it...when your ready just toss it on the floor and roll around. Go to a club that has features and watch it... a lot of them do it. Also practise with it at home get an idea of how to do it. You wont be weird for doing it as most girls do. When you think about it a stage is dirty anyway so a blanket isnt a bad idea!

The girls at my club use sheep skin rugs... seriously. There's a store that sells sheep skin everything a block away from the club so lots of girls get fluffy sheep skin rugs in a variety of colors and sizes. They just throw them over their arm and carry them around when they're not on stage. It kinda has this cute ski bunny or Barbarella look while on or off stage.

Where I work, all of the girls wear knee pads. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but it looks pretty hot with the right outfit (which may not be your style), very sexy and layered. Especially if you wear thigh high boots (perfect for pole work), no one will ever know...

Of course, at some places it does ook ridiculous.

all the girls at my club use blankets- for one thing it makes being on your knees a lot less painful, and it also lets us not have to roll arond on a dirty stage that dozens of other girls have also rolled around on that night

TM you seem to be doing great up there!
Continue doing a standing/pole work routine. You do cool stuff on the pole.
A sheepskin blanket for floor work might help.

I usually wear stockings to my mid-thigh. But, when the outfit wouldn't look right with them, I put most of my weight on the toe of my shoe when I'm crawling around on stage and such.

Be easy on your knees, TM! You don't want to end up like me (injured for almost a full year). I'm only 21, but my knees seem to think I'm like 50 or something. It sucks, but what's done is done!

I agree with everyone about putting more weight toward the toe of your shoe, though. That should help quite a bit (or so I would think).

If you know how to crochet you can get some nice chenille and make your own lap size blanket to bring to work with you. It would be more personalized than using what everyone else does.

I read somewhere on this forum to use arnica gel and it helped my knees a lot! My knees were swollen and buised and painful to the touch. Overnight arnica gel made a huge improvement. I bought mine at a local vitamin store. Also you can take bromelain or arnica montana orally to help fade bruising faster. Obviously tanning (I use self-tanner) hides the damage. I decided not to use body makeup or perfume b/c I don't want to leave my marks on the customer.

Just wanted to add that it helps to put ice packs on your knees right after your shift too!
