    Default Question

Do I look "Goth" to you? I made the mistake of posting a few pics of mine (just normal ones) on this hockey site I post on also, and helll! I would say half the girls on there swooped in to critique and be total bitches! Of course the mystery of that will probably never be solved, but here are a few comments I got-
    "EMOOOO FREAK"
"Why don't you go cut your wrists?"
    "Deaths coming to get me"
    Etc.....So lol I guess...Do I look like this???

That's ridiculous. What biotches. You don't look goth. The only thing that I see is a slight Mary-Kate Olsen/Avril Lavigne resemblence. I think you look pretty in that pic though.

I agree with "mod". Your pose is also very...introspective. If you were giggling and playing with a litter of puppies in a spring meadow, it might be different!

I think "goth" is the term that people use when they don't really understand the look. I also don't think "goth" is an insult, but I think they were trying to use it in an insulting way. Internet meanies!

I see very dark hair, black nails, lips, clothes and very pale skin when i picture Goth.

You look sweet! Not Goth. Goth is good, many wear it well. But you look like the girl next door, very pretty!

You don't look Goth at all. They're just jealous because the guys were probably paying attention to you. Besides most puck bunnies I have ever seen are fat hoes that would go down for some change so I really wouldn't get to bent out of shape that they're being nasty bitches.

I think you look potentially gothy (it's the pale skin and the eyeliner) but I wouldn't be able to determine what look you were going for without seeing your outfit.

And what's the big deal anyway? I think "goth" is a compliment.

It's like, what if someone said "ha ha, you look like a stripper"? They just don't freakin' get it. They're the butt of the joke.

LOL I was wearing a black hoodie and some jeans. I admit, I love black. I don't think "goth" is an insult, I just didn't like the other comments like, "Go slit your wrists."

They were talking about goth like it's a bad thing and people who are goth are sick....whats up with that??? I'm not goth but I have some friends who are and they are some of the nicest people!!! Some people just like to dress/look that way, does not mean they are dark and evil. Aside from that, you certainly do not look goth even with the makeup on, I like heavy makeup myself. You are very pretty, dont worry about them!!!

Seeing as how not all "goth" folks are caucasian enough to be pale, I tend to toss that part of the stereotype aside. The eye makeup could be considered goth. It' a bit more dramatic than the mainstream Smokey Eyes look. If I didnt know a damned thing about the goth culture, I guess I could call you goth....

Goth isnt JUST how you dress or put on your makeup. Its a lifestyle choice. If you arent goth, dont worry about some chicks, on their computers, someplace far, far away.

I'm confused. Isn't Goth how a person dresses? Looks, i.e. make-up hair etc.
How does one live a goth life? It must be the way you look, because they are like any other person i have ever met, they like sex as i do, they drive Hondas, Toyotas, they eat what we do, and the ones i have ever met never even hit a fetish scene.

Actually i met a few dancing, who said they wanted attention, to be noticed, or felt like an out cast! So this was their way of being noticed, different.

But they only dressed 'goth' in public. It all washed off at night, because most of the look was make-up. They just looked different, that was all.

Please explain. Really, i don't get it as a lifestyle.

They're all mad because your mouth is open in the pic. They think you're being subliminally sexual to curry favor with the male hockeyboard readers. Puckbunnies? LOL

(Goth- I am lazy medium-skinned Goth. Occasional black clothes, dark makeup, but bad attitude 24/7.)

I think the eye makeup and black sweater can make it look a little goth. You know how kids tried to be goth in middle school but had to tone it down b/c of conservative parents and dress codes in school... Memories... Anyway, there's nothing wrong with the goth look, those girls on the site just want you to be wearing pink, any other color and you're goth.

    Geez, you look fine
