Search How does San Francisco rate?

I live 15 minutes from San Fransisco and am looking into stripping. Obviously this city is the most convenient location for me to work in, but how IS San Fran in regards to the stripping scene?

Good? Bad? Any clubs in particular that you suggest? I don't want to work at a place with heavy contact.

Oh, and what are the nearest places to San Fran that still have a profitable strip biz?

I went to a strip club in San Francisco. A dancer did the topless things for a couple songs on a stage that nobody took money to. The patrons sat at tiered tables, away from the stages. A pretty lady talked me into a lap dance, and she kinda danced with her bikini remaining in place. She was nice enough, if a bit uninspiring.

Eesh. Is it really that bad?

What other cities in California ARE good for stripping? (strictly stripping, that is :-P )

u should try a search "San francisco". Gold club, Centerfolds, omitchell are pretty good in SF there are some clubs u should avoid too in sf.
I live near san jose. the clubs here u can work at are pretty much kit kat club, pink poodle, brass rail, ajs girls candid club.

Stick near Broadway/North Beach clubs and the Gold Club. Mitchell Bros is a good place to make money, but it's not just dancing. From what I've heard, the money (for your location) is better than San Jose, which is the only city close to SF with strip clubs...Well, there is the Hanky Panky in San Mateo, but I don't know the story with that joint. I'm coming out of my early retirement and I'll know more of the scoop after I go back...

    stated much less tactfully ...

"July 30 2005 San Francisco Market Street Cinema No Touch Rule
MSC went from more like a brothel which was often referred to as the "Cesspool" to now the extreme of no touch rule if dancer doesn't have on her bra and panties.

The dancers have been directed by management that there will be no more sex on premises. Body contact between customers and dancers shall be limited to when dancers are covered, both top and bottom. There is to be no physical contact when the dancers are nude or semi nude. Management has been monitoring any private shows and enforcing these new rules. This is confirmed by many reports on San Francisco Red Book Review board where I posted my latest trip reports to the clubs as well of course on sexwork.com

It is not clear exactly why but there have been FBI investigations concerning the illegal sex trade and the local massage parlors. This now appears to have spread to the strip clubs as well. Rumor has it that Deja Vu (MSC's parent company) issued the directive possibly under pressure from federal officials to clean up their San Francisco act. The new rules apply not only to Market Street but also New Century Theatre."

CaliDancer, you work at Mitchell Bros. if I'm not mistaken. Why don't you write a review of the club or tell us what working there entails? A lot of people here talk about MBOT, but none of them have worked there. Give us the scoop.

The "why" as to FBI involvement in the SF area sex trade has to do with sex slavery & illegal immigration, which is good, as innocent women are being exploited by people sneaking them into the US under the pretense of doing "housekeeping" jobs & then they are being forced into prostitution. PLUS any illegal immigration is an inlet for terrorists/ terrorism.
Historically though, the San Francisco Bay Area is a very liberal place. The availablity of sex services goes back to Gold Rush days & the presence of US Naval bases.
PLUS the cost of living is awful, so you keep less of what you make just to be living there.
My point- I love NorCal, but the stripping money is bad for solid reasons.

smartcookie:well as everyone knows the club is very liberal,as every other club in san fran, except this club gets more customers with more money to spend than any other club.the regulars that come to this club expect a lot and a lot of stuff is available by most girls.some do handjobs ,some more....it depends on the girl.there are few that are clean.the stage fee is $400 on the weekday and $500 on weekends.you usually don't go home with less than $1200.sometimes more.thats why weekends are definetely better because the tourists that dont expect much come in and the regulars stay at home.
the private rooms start at $120 for 8 minutes for a nude dance.anything beyond is between the customer and dancer.the girls are one of the nicest girls i've worked with and the management treats you really nice.
if u wanna know more...just ask

I'm finding it very hard to stay comfortable on Broadway right now. My home club is the Roaring 20's, but since I took a break it went on a major decline in dancer quality which is affecting business. I went back to Centerfolds, money was great but the management there right now is unbareable. As for Hustler, I can't seem to make much more than 150-300 a shift! *sigh* I've been wanting to try out MB's for the longest now, and really want to go take a looksie. For some reason I'm worried about being turned away (?). Lame I know. I need to get over it and just go...

Mitchell Brothers...hmmmm....klenix in the private rooms, yuck! The girls are hot though but you make the money there for a reason...it is common knowledge amoungst every red blooded SF guy that place is about SEX not watching stage shows. If your not into that environment try a nice club like the Gold Club, but if you want to make money work nights, the days are about the regulars. MSC I would stay away from as it still is a sleazy place and I'm sure those ROB's working there are now more mad and surly than ever.

Cali--I know you were joking but no one at McDonalds makes $300 dollars a night and some not even in a week...in fact most service jobs pay less than $9 for a whole hour...good thing you were born beautiful or at least like to share your beauty with the world...by the way which nights do you work over there and whats on your menu?

I second that! There is definitely an extras element that is not hidden in San Francisco, but I would say that the clubs that are not known for blantant and/or rampant extras are no dirtier than in any other major metropolitan area in the US. In fact, I was working last night at Broadway Showgirls and some customers from LA commented on how tame the club is.

Glamazon, from your experience which clubs would you say are the most tame in SF (any others beyond Showgirls?)?

The clubs on Broadway are tamer... on Market are not... Roaring 20s, Hustler, Showgirls, Dunno about Crazy Horse... Im always hearing mixed reviews...

Broadway Showgirls is where I work in SF... did well so never bothered going anywhere else... but its just a once in a while thing... I live/work in Sacramento...

Thing is that no matter what city you dance in or what club theres always going to be SOMEONE giving a little more than others... its hard to define extras... some clubs what I consider an "extra" is the norm and so on...

I have to go with Audrey on this one. Stick to the Broadway/North Beach neighborhood and it's all pretty clean, by City standards. IMO, the topless joints are the safest bet, since there's the liquor laws that you must abide by. Gold Club is also a good one, I have several friends who have worked or still work there and it seems to always do pretty well.
