    Default dealing with foriegn customers

Okay, this is just something I was thinking about this last weekend, as the club I was working at had about a dozen or so chinese businessmen, and only one man could speak english, and he acted as translator for the group.

I am willing to bet that the American strip club expierence is confusing to many foreign born customers. The shows aren't flashy enough to be considered mainstream entertainment like "The Follies" or "Cirque d'Solie" or the other racier/sexier productions out there. But at the same time, the girls aren't prostitues either, even though some pretty high contact can be had at many places around the US. I totally understand when the customers ask for sex, thinking they are in a brothel situation. Anything less may seem like a waste of time to the foriegn customer.

I just find it very amusing that the foriegn customer can only speak enough english to ask for a cab, but somehow has figured out how to say "How much for sex?"

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Often they know more English than they let on. The Japanese are infamous for this trick, (and yeah, also Mexicans. LOL)

Just be rudimentary but firm, use sign language & pantomime. Some things are universally understood.

Didn't you know? It's in all the American travel guides' language sections. Right under "where is the bathroom?"

I once had an Italian man grab me and head into VIP asking "how much". At the time I was waaay more naive and didn't even think about the fact he was probably talking about sex. I told him, he barely spoke english - numbers and the most basic greetings mostly - he gave me the money and off we went. He didn't push the issue but he wasn't too pleased. I just chalked it up to language barrier and whatnot at the time. LOL! I'm sure I unwittingly gave him the idea that US clubs are ripoff joints.

But I'm gonna bet that a whole lot of foreigners have at least heard that our clubs are different. I can't imagine that they ALL arrive completely ignorant. I have dealt with plenty who knew they wouldn't be getting laid in the club and refused to buy dances - saying (usually very politely, I might add) that their clubs are much different and they "don't buy dances". A few have gone on to say I'd make a ton more money in their country, and of course I can't help but explain that I actually make as much and I'm betting sometimes more than the girls in their country, and I don't have to fuck. hehe

They are always very nice about it tho, I gotta say. Many of their American counterparts could stand to take a few lessons.

Im sick of the 'I dont understand english' customers. They are getting on my last nerv.. may have even used it up. Guy reaches for my pussy, I push his hand away and say 'no touch' and shake my finger at him shaking my head. He goes to try again, I say 'No you can not touch my pussy' shake my finger in the no gesture and point to my pussy while shaking my head. Guy goes to grab again I slap him across the face saying " I TOLD YOU NO!" guy goes 'I no speak english' I demand my money and end the dance. I've had this happen way to many times. I've even gone as far as learning no you can not touch in 4 different lanugages still doesnt work. I had a huge group of columbian guys saturday night trying to call me a whore because I wouldnt go back to their hotel room with them for sex. I finally stopped and said 'You do realise your calling me a whore for not having sex with you right?' They got pissed and left :eyeroll:

roxanna I do that in cabs as well lol.

" NO en espanol mismo NO en engles. Que no comprende?"

roughly translated means "NO in Spanish is the same as NO in English. What do you not understand?"

I use this with pretty good effect. It basically negates the "no speak engilsh: defense and lets them know I am onto them.

I agree 100% LOGAN. Its just the fact they try to use the "I dont understand english" for an excuse... Basically.. I know they understand they're just trying to find away around it. GRRR!!!! I've been dancing a month and im already sour lol. Well I had 6 months waitressing/shooters in a SC to add to my anoyance. Im thinking of becoming a lesbian... lol. You know I wish we had womans only strip clubs wiht woman dancers... that would be so fun. Id sign up to work there in a second.

Thanks Logan for not being judgmental about foreigners. I guess it's a matter of personality and being educated in manners. I'm a foreigner and I went to a strip club (yes we don't have strip clubs in my country) for the first time in my life last month. I tried to be respectful and nice every girl I talked to.

Ill have to use that one Yekhefah.

I had a Japanese man in last week. Funny he understood tips, "comfy", but didnt understand that I dont offer sex. Pffsst. I asked him during the super boring show if he was having fun..he says no (he didnt what he was suppose to do...he though I was gonna 'help him out') so I stop the show and escort him back to the lobby. Eventhough he was dissapointed he was still very respectful and didnt get all pissy.

Does stripping only exist in English-speaking countries? Almost every foriegn customer has asked me about prostitution.

As far as I know, there are strip clubs in Belgium and Italy. I guess in some other European countries prostitution is legal. That might be the reason why they are asking about prostitution.
