    Cheek Implants

Well here is my plan. I get my lisence back in Jan. and plan on starting to dance down in Daytona. I then want to use some of that money to do plastic surgery. I want to get cheek implants, a BA, and one of those forehead lifts to arch my eye brows. In Jan of next year I plan to move to NYC and try to get into PEC. Then I plan to use that money to buy my bakery. Yeah I understand this sounds nuts, but my own business is what I want to have and no one is just going to hand me one, I have to get it my own way. And I know it will work because I am great at managing money. But my question is, has anyone ever had the cheek implants done to highten their cheek bones? Were you happy with the resaults? And how was the pain factor?

Uh, I don't have cheek implants but I wanted to suggest a safer and cheaper cosmetic trick for defining cheekbones- get your upper molars extracted (ones you can spare.)
    Marlene Deitrich had it done.

having the fat pads (correct term-Buccal fat extraction) removed from your cheeks defines your face and makes the cheeks bones more prominent. I think cheek implants look disgusting fat transfer using micro grafting looks sooo much better. here is a before and after pic below from http://www.extreme-make-over.com/extreme_face_main.htm http://www.faceandfigure.com/

I herd check implants have a tendency to shift/move. The process seems like you would lose some sort of feeling,I think your brave though to do it.

I don't understand...why take the time healing and money out of your goal to just "attempt" to get hired on at PEC? What if you spend X thousands of dollars and they still don't want you? Then what? Did you even ever stop to think of that?

Doing plastic surgery just becuase you want to dance is not a wise investment. It really isn't a wise investment if you don't plan on having your career as a dancer for very long.

Also, wanting to have your own business is a wonderful venture. Please tell me though, why have you not sought out a more conventional approach for obtaining your business? There are lots of grants/loans available to women and minorities. Some are based on income, business idea etc.

I just would really hate to see you spend money, in an effort to "HOPEFULLY" make more at PEC.

I've been at PEC for a year and a half and yes, its nice and pretty, and yes i make money. But i had no idea that its the "Holy Grail" of strip clubs! to the point of getting cheek implants and looking like a transvestite or worse, the cat lady! work at another club! your insecurities would stop you from getting hired not your lack of cheekbones! jeez

Thanks for the micro graft idea. That sounds like it could work. For the others, the cheek bone thing is something I've always wanted. I AM happy with myself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve yourself. The reason I am want to do it the way I want to is because I am not ready right now to own my own business. I want to have fun and live first. Thanks for your wonderful uplifting support!

I think other people responded the way they did because it sounds like you feel that cheek implants are standing in the way of your dream of opening a bakery. Which is a lot of pressure to put on yourself.

But I'd agree with the others - fat transfer is a better way to add definition to the cheekbone area, and Dr. Roberts is well-respected.

And remember that PEC isn't the only place in the world to make good money. Yes, the income potential is great for the right person, however, NYC has the highest cost of living in North America. Your dollars simply won't go as far there.

As for Daytona, I'd ask about it in the "Club Chat" section...but from what I have heard Daytona is not a very good place to work at all and I'd look into commuting to another area to work.

I was thinking the same thing. Why plan your life around plastic surgery?

When cheek implants are inserted, nerves are cut and take about 6 months to heal. During that time, there is no feeling in the cheeks. It's like someone shot them up with novocaine.

A friend of mine had cheek implants due to having severe TMJ. So basically they put them in to make her face look like it did before after TMJ surgery and not becuase she really wanted them. After a few years she got a severe staph infection and had to have them removed. I thought she looked okay without them but I never saw her before.
