::sigh:: I hear ya. What a loss. I loved him on Happy Days too, but Karate Kid really put him on the map.

To me, his character in Karate Kid etc was the start of the kids' mentors age. Hope he had a good life. I enjoyed his characters.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Japanese-Americans from Pat Morita's generation have a very unique history due to both their internment in camps during WW2 AND the eligible males being allowed to serve in the US Armed Forces during the same time (the book "Farewell to Manzanar" is all about this). Many of these people live in my area and they are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet, despite their hard history.

Pat's story is a true American story, as he says in the linked article. RIP.

Pat's chatacter in Karate Kid also drew some attention to the internment from a generation far removed from it. No small feat.

I like the older generation of Japanese actors b/c they're tough and masculine. The newer generations are more metrosexual. We need more Asian men in mainstream entertainment, not just the stereotypical martial arts guys.

    Daniel-san...Paint the fence.

    HUY! HA! HOI! HAAAAAAAAAA!

I can't believe he was 73....that blows my mind. Asian people seem to keep their youth almost forever....i would have honestly guessed him at maybe 60. Probably more if i sat down and thought about his career, but still....RIP Pat.
