I was in Vegas this week and not a peep from anyone about this club. That coming from local friends and some dancers. But then again it was very morbid in Vegas this week.

Morbid???How so???

my friend's mother is the house mom there and she loves it. She loves and takes care of "her girls", and business is decent. She does well enough. So if she's getting by, the girls are and then some you know. If I hear more of this place I will post it. (I live in Vegas)

It is deathly slow at SIN. I worked there for the grand opening back in Feb. and did really well. Two weeks later the newness had worn off.... No one goes there, I wouldn't be surprised if it closed soon

That is the whole problem with Vegas now,in my opinion. The novelty wears off very quickly unlike before.

Here's the scoop on Sin. It's the typical Vegas story. People who have never worked anywhere near the industry decide to spend a ton of money and open a club. Then they hire managers from all over to come and run it thinking that will make them money. Sin is one of the large clubs in Vegas and they're doing a lot of "thinking outside the box" but it's not working. I haven't been by there in a while but when I was, they were in the process of opening an sports book inside/adjacent to the club as a way of drawing different types of clientelle into the club. Every time I go in there though, you can hear a pin drop.
There was one point, months after they opened, that a friend of mine was having a conversation with the owner and in the conversation it was revealed that the club just figured out that you actually have to pay the cabbies to drop people off at the club. This was after months of them not being able to figure out why no cabs would come to the club with customers. DUUUHHHHHH!!!! The other reason no cabs will go to the club from the Strip is because the club is WAY off the beaten path from all the other clubs. It's in a horrible location. Next to Leopard Lounge and Pleasures, I'd say it ranks a close third place for the "Worst location to ever build a strip club" award. It's miles from any major casino and there is no easy route to get there from the Strip. The closest major resort to the club is Mandalay Bay and from there, you can get to a number of any clubs easier than you can to Sin in 1/2 the time.
Lastly, the club is like walking into a black warehouse. They have huge ceilings which, on occasion, they have dancers swinging overhead, but other than that, it's a big, cold, black room with nothing of interest inside. They have a few satellite stages inside that are never used (because there are never any customers in there or dancers for them) so the main stage is pretty much it. Oh, it sits behind the bar without a good tiprail.
The club has a lot of potential, but it's not being run, managed, or marketed worth a damn. Personally, I'd be shocked if the place wasn't already up for sale.

Kind of funny, I was on TUSCL looking at Vegas reviews and this place was rated below most of the locals clubs and the third tier dumps.
This was a review I read on VEGAS.COM:
http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/stripclubs/sin.html
Sub-named "Sexy Intimate Nightlife," Sin is the latest mega-strip club to follow the "bigger is better" credo of most newer Vegas gentlemen's clubs. Housed in a 40,000-square-foot building, Sin features an 18,000-square-foot topless nightclub with three stages, VIP room, a full bar and hundreds of exotic dancers.
Hmm, I guess things have taken a turn for the worse since that was written.
Maybe its because I've seen more new clubs in the past three years that are absolute design disasters despite the fact that millions were poured into them, but I think this "more square footage" theme that new clubs are promoting is getting ridiculous. Bigger is NOT better when it comes to building a strip club, in fact one could make a valid argument that it might be worse.
There's a casino industry consultant named Bill Friedman who wrote a book claiming that a lot of the newer casino properties in LV have hurt their gaming revenue by building large airy casinos which in turn discourage people from gambling. I think the same holds true for many of the newer strip clubs out there.Originally Posted by DancerWealth

Customers want a sense of coziness when they come to either type of establishment. Its hard to enjoy one's vices in a room that you easily can fit a Learjet into.
The amazing thing is that the "big airy ceiling" mistake has been previously commited by other "new" clubs, namely Jaguars and esspecially Sapphire. You'd think someone would have learned by now.
Former SCJ now in rehab.

I saw this review once too. The writer must have flunked basic math in school. To say that the club features "hundreds of exotic dancers" may only be true in the fact that they probably have had a few hundred dancers come and go through the place like any other club. Since the week after their opening, I would be shocked if they ever had a shift with more than 50 dancers working in there. This is compared to, say, Cheetahs which is less than 1/2 the square footage and has 150 dancers working in there on a Saturday night shift. Sin has a lot of potential, but that's it. They've got one foot in the grave and it's been there since the grand opening.Originally Posted by doc-catfish

Was there once at 2am and the place was nearly empty. Paid the cover, went to the restroom, took another look and walked out.
Dancerwealth is right about it being a big black warehouse box. It feels cold and definitely not intimate.

There are rumors floating right now that Sin's days are numbered. End of January at best as the current theory goes.

well January is over & SIN is not closed, yay! I've worked there a few times & I absolutely love it so I hope they stay open![]()

I'm curious why you like it. Every time I go in there you can hear a pin drop in that huge club when there are 5 dancers in the place and even less customers. I don't think I've ever driven past the place and seen more than 7 or 8 cars in the parking lot. Has something changed recently? I was just joking with someone last night even about Sin where we were laughing at the fact that the 2005 earnings for Larry's Villa probably way surpassed that of Sin.![]()

I tend to stick to the small-medium sized clubs to avoid competition, so that would pretty much explain it, besides, the staff at sin is way better than the staff of the club I was previously at & it does get busy every thursday, friday & saturday. That's good enough for me. But I bet if I took your seminar I could work at at any club & bank.Originally Posted by DancerWealth

I just started working there 3 weeks ago (my first stripping job ever) and am torn between staying or leaving. As a newbie, it seems like the perfect place to start off. The djs are great (Jimmy and Jeff), they speak highly of me and always remember what songs I like, even playing obscure bands that they think would suit my taste. The managers are friendly enough and pretty much stay out of my hair. I have met more friendly women thre than not (of course there are always some snakes in the grass). There is diversity in size, shape, race, and style, which is very important to me. Also, there is no house fee before 3pm, so if you are really in a bind, you can go in with nothing to lose but time. On the other hand, the money is very unstable and I know I could make more. Maybe some of it is that I have to fine tune my hustle skills, but the fact that there is no cover charge attracts cheapos. I made 370 my first night (was a tuesday), but have yet to make more than that, and had one night were I was negative money. Ah, I don't know what to do!!! Help!
I Am Conserving Grace For A Later Time.
Feria, when I first started dancing I jumped on board with a club that wasn't the greatest, but wasn't the worst either. Lots of different women and good managers. Not much in the way of customers but a little bit of everything, alot like this club sounds.
It was THE perfect place for me to get my feet wet, develope my moves, find out what worked and didn't work, get comfortable moving up on a stage in front of custy's AND fellow dancers (that was the hardest part for me). But once my feet were wet....I jumped in the pool and went swimming.
It took me a little while, but when you think you are ready to move to a bigger club, in terms of customers and money, then go for it! I have never looked back!
Good Luck!
