    Default New Orleans clubs

I'm tempted to come check out and see how NOLA's doing.... I'd like to work down there towards the weekend, and fly back to MI for the week (I have school). Any word on what clubs are open? How's the money down there? How's the atmosphere? Do you have to be 21? (I'm only 20.... ;_; )

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

whats up ?I am in NEW Orleans ,now & a dancer ,,the atmosphere is hurricane aftermath clean up ,its like little mexico or something, all of these imigrant workers have taken over the quarter, its weird ,,military & disaster related people ,most of the hotel rooms are booked up,so make sure u have somewhere 2 stay, because the rest of the city doesnt have power, ect,as far as the clubs ,hmm,I dont know I've been avoiding going 2 check out my club b/c I know they will make me work & I am not working around that cespool of human waste.lots of people are getting sick, skin rashes & some really disgusting shit,,so 2 hell w/that !!AS far as age u can work @ 20 ,,
House fees (which I think is ridicuolous making girls pay 2 work in this bull shit) range from $55-75 per shift $5 for every booth dance $5 for house mom & $10% d.j.,,,
the airport is a $30-$50 taxi cab ride 2 the Quarter or a $13 shuttle ,I really don't know if they are doing the shuttle b/c of all the disaster situation,,the city itself is very f-ked up,,there is still the 2am curfew for Bourbon St ,which is soooo messed up !!! If u decide 2 come be-prepared!!Arange ur Hotel prior & flight & bring ur hand sanitizers ,disenfectants ,ect.& buy your extra nescesitys before because theres not alot of stores open & price gouging is crazy..
Good Luck & if u come you will at least have some good storys to tell as well as a little change in your pocket !!! I am staying @ a hotel in the CBD/arts district ( my house has no power, ect)& I think there are a few more rooms available here ,but its $150 per night..well good luck..

It's not a matter of picking on the carcasses. I'm not coming to observe the tragic aftermath. I'm considering coming with the knowledge that there are workers down there that are making $30/hr, with 12 hr/day 7 day/wk schedules that have nothing to do. It's a money thing. A lot of people in the rescue industry (fire, police, etc) have gone down there because of the money. I'd just be doing the same thing.

I've got ancestors from NOLA, so it'd also be nice to get a chance to visit their tombs and leave some offerings, as well. Something I've never had a chance to do.

The French Quarter is back to normal and now the curfew is lifted so you can work until the sun comes up as long as there are people around. Mardi Gras is coming next month and we have already been doing better than before the storm so I cant imagine what it will be like then.

I work at Temptations and they arent charging tip out there and wont be for a while to keep most of the girls working there rather than at the other clubs. I was averaging 1k a night before the curfew was lifted. I took the last few weeks off but its possible to make much more now that the hours are longer. Having to leave at 2am was really aggravating and just unrealistic.

All Larry Flynt clubs are back open and so is Ricks and every club is doing great from what I have seen. There are a lot of girls coming in from all over to work already. Tons of men are here for work and they keep rolling in. They had terminated a lot of contracts until the New Year, its the new year now so they are all being redone and we are expecting a lot more workers. Every club is going to need lots of girls for Mardi Gras so get your tushes down here and work somewhere.

There's practically 1,000 men per girl... It's the place to be.
