Default auditioning- how much money should i spend on it?

    Hey girls,

Ive been on this website for a year but haven't had the courage to audition until now. I literally have 70 dollars to my name and really need to start dancing. The place where I want to work has auditions every tuesday at 9pm. I just travelled cross country last week and i look a mess, I need a mani-pedi, haircut etc...but don't have the money for it. If I were to go to an audtition...should I spend the money i have on a mani-pedi or a haircut...or should I just go in looking the best I can and explain that I'm broke but plan to invest more money into my looks once i start making money?

Oh my god i am so nervous about this....

Get the haircut and give yourself a mani-pedi at home.

If you can, get the haircut the same day as the audition, and ask your hairdresser to style your hair for you. You really want to look the best you possibly can. A mani-pedi doesn't have to be professional to look good; a haircut usually does.

Doing your hair makes you look nice and clean. Agreed, do your toes n nails at home save money there. Wear some high heeled shoes with an ankle strap. Move slow on stage and SMILE. When you dress just try and match. You can always always buy more and better stuff when you start making money.

I think I made myself poor when I started out spending too much on things I didnt need.

I agree- do your nails and makeup yourself. I wouldn't even bother getting a haircut and style that same day unless it is absolutely necessary. I don't like other people styling my hair- I know what looks good on me, and I like to do it myself because I know what I'm doing- when someone else does your hair they may have a different vision of what a good look for you would be, and you may hate it and it may ruin your confidence. Just make sure you have shoes and a cute matching set to wear and you'll be fine
