That is from the website of a local clothing store owned and run by a former dancer. I've met her at our club a few times and she's very professional (she comes by to sell us clothes on Sundays. Her website is www.exxxplicit.ca and she's francophone, so some of the grammar is shaky). Anyways, I asked her if I had the look for it and she encouraged me to apply, noting that the pictures had to be sent off to the Canadian playboy agency in Montreal for approval (since she is the only local playboy merchandiser). She said it would representing the clothing, accessories, etc. at car shows, 'private, classy bars and parties' in the area and Montreal...no nudity required and nothing showier than booty shorts (nothing see through). The girls get to keep all clothing, shoes, accessories worn in the photo shoots and at the events, plus they get paid (though Olivia said not much, only about $150 for two hours...but she said all I would have to do is be there and hand out flyers, which to me sounds like club mingling, but without the dancing).
So. Does this sound like a worthwhile endeavour? I think it would be if it would possibly lead to modeling opportunities, but I don't know. What do you all think? I will see if I can get a digital camera and post some pics of myself to give you an idea...if I am deluding myself of my worthiness of such a job, then this is all moot! I worry a little about 'exposure' since Ottawa is a small, small town, but then I've already been 'recognized' on the streets, at the mall, just from dancing. There is no anonymity for a small city dancer, apparently.
