I've taken them, but I never paid attention. When I learned about them as a Psychology major it just always seemed like a bunch of BS to me. Plus, each one is different...it's a damn IQ test that discouraged Mox all throughout his school years (the lady who administered it had no clue what she was doing, he got a low score, and they tried to pass Mox off as having "learning problems"). <-- That could be my bias, though. It just pisses me off that they did that to him. :/

I don't put much store in standardized testing. Not everyone tests well but it doesn't mean that they aren't capable of intelligent thought and speech.
I tested super high in grade school and started high school at 12. Unfortunately, I was not emotionally mature enough to withstand the ridicule I received at being labeled a prodigy. I would have given anything to be considered average.
I also don't believe in tests that give you a time limit. Too much stress. Doesn't matter in those tests how smart you really are....just how quickly you can come to an answer.
I'm too tired right now to take that test. I'd probably score as retarded.

I was tested in school. 148.

I got a 119. I'm not as stupid as I thought.![]()

Heh I dont put much faith in them... I swear it depends on your day. I've taken about 6 different ones in my life through school and now this one i've scored anywhere from 77 - 130... I know im not that close to being mega smart but I know I aint that stupid.

"PhD certified"? That's all they can say about it? Some wonk with a doctorate liked the thing?
You can get a wonk with a doctorate ANYWHERE. And if their doctorate is in one of various fields like philosophy, they're probably flippin' burgers (unless they're a hot and sexy lady, in which case they're probably dancing and don't need your money.)
Of COURSE they'll like your intelligence test, while rubbing their fingers together, yes m'm, a little something?
Okay, I'm being silly and over-the-top about it. No, I didn't take the test, but I saw their claim to validity and practically snorted coffee out my nose.
(Oh -- and IQ tests based on comparing one's performance to that of one's peers are a little weird with me. I scored college reading level at the age of 6, meaning that averaged with the math scores, my IQ would technically have been 200. However, it's not like I've developed the ability to read OVER that level since then -- so tests score me more like 135 these days. Have I gotten dumber? Hardly.)

Mine is 130.

I scored 153 as a kid, I scored 130 when I was 25.
Lemme tell ya- high IQ means nothing to success, and I'm proof (hahahaha). People in the average to average-high tend to be the most successful overall. Risk of deliquency and mental disorder is higher at high ends of the IQ spectrum.

IQ is only one of many quantifiers for ability and it is largely out of your own control. If you don't have it, you won't do well in some areas but success in life is not dependent on IQ. Some other quantifiers I know something about are reaction time, pitch discernment (like A=440), acuity of senses, ability to mimic sounds, various behavior elements, personality temperament, etc. IQ effects in certain areas of life/work etc, but it is not a predictor of success/failure in success. Success need your ability to use whatever gifts and minimize weaknesses. It's not that IQ can vary much in a person, but testing attentiveness does vary.
I don't like to talk about my own ranking (it isn't low, but it isn't high enough to impress geniuses), because it is rarely relevant and it could cause some to be ill-at-ease in talking about the subject. But really it isn't such a big deal. How much you bring home is a bigger deal, but many people don't like to talk about that either.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

These are BS, I'm not a genius, but I usually score right at that level, or just under it. Those tests just play to my strengths, problem solving, some math, etc. etc.
I'd like to be able to carrry on a conversation with a random person, but I'm just not good at that. I wish I could write a decent paper so I could finish college, and shut my parents up. Some people are good at one thing, others are good at something else.
Dah....you get a different number each time....fuck that. I am talking about different IQ tests......120, lower...higher...Lmao!
Pamela
I was tested at one point in my late teens and scored at 154... however I think there are people out there as intelligent or more so who just test crappy. *shrug* I don't know, IQ scores are kind of over rated.

I'm taking psych testing this semester. The first thing we learned is that your IQ will never vary more that +/- 8 points in your entire lifetime, no matter what test you take. Well, I tested 154 as a kid and 136 now, which is an 18 point difference. I've seen kids test in the 70's, and then after a year of ed kin test 30 or 45 points higher (and more importantly move from special ed classes to regular classes and stop being considered MR). IQ testing has some validity, but a lot less than the people who make money off them want us to know.
I just took one today I scored 120 yet when I took one last night I scored 77... never vary more then 8 points? Maybe im just weird..

There's a whole bunch of these tests on www.2h.com
I've taken a lot of them and the results are always different, anywhere from 115 to 145,they are fun to take, but I wouldn't rely on them much.

Well, any "IQ test" that you take online is not a real IQ test. An IQ test can only be administered by a psychologist who has been trained in it, and they're super secretive about it.

I guess I dont understand why your IQ only has to do with subject matter that was given in a school setting . They really need one that has to do with real life situations . Like have you ever left your gas cap open after filling up and drove down the road two miles before noticing ( minus 2 points , if you took the whole filler nozzle minus 15 points ) .

Most real IQ tests don't have too much book type knowledge on them. Higher education on average only increases your IQ by 6 points.
no if you took the whole nozzle you'll be in the negatives. if you've ever forgotten your own phone number minus 5 points, if you tried to call your own answering machine to hear the number and realized you couldn't because you don't know the number, genius.
