Default Just give it time . . .???

I started at a new club 1 1/2 weeks ago. (About 7 shifts). Talk about DEAD! TodayI didn't even make my house. I had heard (from somebody here) that this was a pretty decent place to work. So far, I have yet to break $200. I was a top earner at my last club, but it was maxing out at about 250.

Everybody at the new club tells me to give it time. I know this is the hiliday season and all, but . . . . how much time? I am using a quarter tank of gas and spending a ton on tolls every night I go there, and am barely making anything.

What would you do? How long would you wait?

Its the time of year... most clubs are dead right now. I have been informed though in another week or two things will pick up for xmas parties. I work at two of the busier TO clubs and they are both dead right now.

I usually give a club one week. I started at a club on Long Island once and between driving time, tolls, and the nights that I didn't have use of my car and had to use public transportation, it just wasn't worth it. I really liked the club too, but I had had enough after one week. I would say give it another week. Normally, I would be like, "LEAVE," but like everyone else said, it's the time of year too. My club is slow right now (I have yet to make even $150 this week) and I'm tempted to get another job just in case it's like this all month, but I think it just needs time.

Is there any chance that you could work another club while you're working at this one? It is a rotten time of year right now and I would hate to see you leave just before it starts to get good (and it usually does).

I would wait it out for a little longer, but not too much. Start scoping out your other options. Good luck!

It is Sugar Bomb in Geneva.

I like this club b/c it is low-touch, and has a stage with a pole. (My last place was jsut a neighborhood bar with lap-dancers).

However, the house fees are high, the hustle is SLOW (2-3 song chit-chat is standard) and there are a TON of rules. I feel much more like an employee than a free agent. It is also farther for me to drive, and I am always stuck in rush-hour traffic.

Last night I did worse than anybody else, but I am pretty sure the top earner last night didn't break $100.

I have been sneeking back to my old bar and working walk-ons. I make as much in 2-4 hours there as I make in Sugar Bomb all night. And then some. I want out, however, b/c it is not set up to help the dancers make $$, there are almost NO rules (definitely a double edged sword there!) and there are some girls who are giving away more and more for less $ (I heard about a $3 finger fuck!) It is only a matter of time before the enitre place gets raided or put out of business.

I am so depressed about this. As long as I stay in my little dive bar, I make pretty good money. I have tried 3 times in the last year to break out of it, and every time, I wind up in some no-customer, no-money hell.

I made a deal with myself, that I was going t get in really good shape and get my skin cleared up, then I was going to go back to the big clubs and keep pestering them until I get into the one I want. In the mean time, here I am stuck in lap-dance hell.

If a dive bar has good money, then it's good money.

It's really slow everywhere, even in bars and restaurants. I would not judge your new club by the traffic of this week. Sneaking a few shifts at your old, reliable club to supplement your income does no harm.

Chicago really does not have many choices for an entertainer. Frustrating, isn't it?

Apparently it starts about 2 weeks before xmas and runs through the week of xmas, then it dives back to a low between boxing day and new years and picks up again in January. I picked a shitty time of year to start dancing Im probably averaging $500 a week now.... everytime I mention the champagne room the guys laugh at me and say 'you crazy? its xmas im broke' pfft..

The Sugar Bomb? Hmmmm...I've never been there. What do the other dancers say about the place? I would stick it out. They have a lot of advertisement around the area. MOST clubs are really bad right now. But, you'll hit a "rush" when the season is getting close and the guys need to blow some stress steam. Keep doing both clubs and only go into the new club when you absolutely have to. Really work on your hustle.

Damn it sounds like a bad area. I'd find out if the Sugar Bomb has a high turnover rate.

I think it might be that you feel more confidence and comfortable in the dive because you know it's just some hole and you're used to the people. You might feel intimidated in the new one, especially with that bossy girl. I would do both, and see if the Sugar Bomb picks up, if not fuck that, go make your money. Dont worry about what other people in there are doing for money, that's their problem. As long as you're safe and you know your boundaries.

In most areas, decent money = contact. Even the "posh upscale NYC clubs" have it going on in spades. The world isn't going to change for your comfort level. $250 a night isn't bad for airdances. Good luck!

Like everyone else said, its the slow season right now. At my club, the week of Thanksgiving through the week before New Year's is really slow, and during that time I usually make about half of what I do the rest of the year. For right now work at whatever club you make the most money at, and after the slow season is over, then try out new clubs. This is not a good time to be trying out new clubs, because you won't be able to get a good idea of how much money you can make at the new club.
