Default This may be kinda gross but...

How do I get rid of corns? I've always had pretty feet- no corns, nice toes, etc. Then I started dancing. Now I have a corn (or at least that's what I think it is- some sort of lump) on the ring toe of each foot, presumably from my shoes. How do I get rid of it, or at least prevent more form appearing? Because I have dark skin, it's not extremely noticeable (thank god), but I know it's there, and that's good enough for me. Any suggestions?

You should visit a nail salon and get on a schedule. Maybe every 4-6 weeks for a pedicure. The blade/shaver thingy is outlawed in some states but occasionally you can find a solon that will use it "under the table" (a phrase commonly used by people in our job!!) Otherwise, you can get products a sally's that will dissolve them but you have to be careful. Follow the instructions to a T so you don't burn your whole toe off with the acid stuff.

It's relatively safe but you never know what can happen.

Other than those options, you should see a doc. Especially if they are painful.

This may be kinda gross but... I need some of that tough stuff on my feet to protect them from the daily damage of 8 hours on 7" heels... I try to keep them smooth but still protected.

I agree with Bella. I left a certain amount of callous on my feet (not noticeable, but there) so that I didn't limp home every night.

I would recommend getting 70% Glycolic solution from ebay and soaking problem areas with it. Next, just slough off with pumice stone.

I use a pumice stone in the bath everyday on the rough spots, but I leave some callous on to protect my feet.
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing
