    Default Tips For New Djs

Hi everyone, I am a new strip club DJ and the biggest problem I have right now is coming up with things to say about the girls when they come up on stage, in between songs, and when they leave the stage. I was wondering if people could help me out and give me some advice on what to say. Thanks!!

I did search through this forum, and I didn't find things I should say. Send me some links as to where they are.

There's 3 links for you..took me less than 10 min searching page by page to find em
Next time ASk, don't demand that I look something up for you
I'm sure you can find more threads if you look. Don't know what keywords to search for? Try a page by page search, it takes longer but it works.

Smiley Any pointers for a fledgling DJ?

Going for first round of "Need a DJ?" job searching here in So Cali. Any ponters on what to expect from management and dancers? Any other DJ's want to tell me to save my time?

Am operating with iTunes on my mac. Have over 35000 songs, but I'm afraid that I won't have the songs most girls want to dance to. This collection is mostly my taste in music, which although varied, does not contain the most recent Rap and R&B hits. Just not my listening style. Do the girls bring their own cd's? Or should I start downloading now?

    Thanks.

You could start looking for a song involving the name Chloe. I have a hunch you might know a stripper with that name and she might like to dance to it.

I have a question regarding being a DJ - well a couple . The dancers give you guys or gals their lists of songs they want to dance to ? I noticed at the last club I went to they had a computer in the booth . The reason I am asking when I was in the club I asked if they had any work - I'm bored I need some kind of part time job . He said you could be a DJ -I will hire you now . I was like I dont know anything about being a DJ - he said" how are you with a computer "- I said I am good with computers, he said " I can make you a DJ " Is he full of crap ? And how do you DJ"s like what you do ?

If you're serious about Dj'ing? Buy a DJ program called MegaSeg, it works seamlessly with iTunes and gives you the ability to crossfade, beat mix, que, edit, change tempo, and preview. I've been using it for 2 years on my 12" Powerbook. Also, you must be up-to-date with the latest rock, r&b, and dance. You'll never make it if you're not up-to-date. Go to Billboard.com, look at the charts, and start downloading all the latest hits. If you have 3500 songs, that's plenty! But how much of that is appropriate for the clubs? During one 8-hour shift, you'll only play approx. 150 songs. One more thing, buy yourself a good microphone, so you sound like a professional.

Is he full of crap? No. Stupid? Yes. He's not very smart to offer a job like that, to a novice. Sure, anyone can press buttons. Does that make you a DJ? No! You're just a monkey pressing buttons. However, if you want to get into the business, it's a great way to start. With all do respect to you, a real DJ knows how to beat-mix, read the crowd, pump up the audience, talk on a microphone while being articulate and witty, has an extensive knowledge of all genres of music, and has the ability to program music according to the dancers and customers. Otherwise, you're just a jukebox operator!
If this guy offered you a job? Take it!! Right now!! This business is very hard to break into, and this will give you the experience you need to progress into a bigger and better club one day. Go for it, and good luck.....you lucky bastard!!

Good luck, the program is real simple. Most important, make sure you categorize your music in iTunes. You'll be spending hours in iTunes, sorting and categorizing, but it'll make you a better DJ if you become organized. It’ll improve your programming. I categorize my music as follows: Latin Dance, Merengue, Salsa, Rock 70s, Rock 80s, Rock 90s, Rock 00s, Dance 70s, Dance 80s, Dance 90s, Dance 00s, R&B 90s, R&B 00s, HipHop 90s, HipHop 00s, Pop, Reggae, Sound Effects, Christmas, New Wave, Freestyle, Motown, Oldies, Easy Listening, Jazz, Funk, etc. And then I make Smart Playlists in iTunes for each category. Start experimenting with “Smart Playlists”, it’ll make your life easier. All of the information in iTunes, is then imported into MegaSeg. Have fun!!

AZ seems like a very lucrative place to work. You can be sitting on a pot of gold!! Now get off that couch, and go get a job...lol!!! You'll love it!!! And think of the women you'll meet???

This has been an interesting thread that I would like to add to. I'm a girl and looking to get into working as a DJ in SCs. As a general question to dancers, other Djs, customers, etc, would it put any of you off to have female DJ working in your club, doing the announcements, etc?

I'd rather have a male DJ...the few female DJ's I have seen didn't do a very good job. Not to say that you wouldn't do a good job. I'm sure some customers would like having a female DJ.

    Default Good DJ Lines?

    Hi Guys,

I’m new to stripperweb and have been a DJ for about 19 years. I have an opportunity to work in a very up scale club that has 25 to 75 dancers a night on rotation and was wondering if you could give me a few tasteful introductions or sayings that would be appropriate for this type of club.

I have worked in small strip clubs before but just not on this scale. The tasteless, tacky lines just will not work here. Ill be pulling a 12 hour shift from 6pm to 6am and have a few good lines but need to keep the flow going all night long. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on what they do. I would be interested to know how long your average DJ shift is as well. Ladies feel free to jump in here as well and tell me some lines you like or have heard.

I have also run the search in the forum from past posts on DJ sayings and lines and found quite a few, just wanted to know if anyone had any others to add.

    Thanks

    Joe

If it involves the words "tipping" and "china", don't use it.

Just say things like you were at a High society auction event.

In fact I think wouldn't it be nice if they did have those paddles and the highest bid would get the dance from you. hee-hee.

    Re: Good DJ Lines?

I used to say in a serious voice, "If you aren't tipping then fuck you." The customers would laugh and the girls would love me.

"If you ain't tipping, you must be tripping"

"Remember fellas, you aren't that good looking so you need to give them money to make up for it."

"We're giving away free table dances to the loudest table in here" The crowd would scream then I would say "Ok we have a winner....just give me a second to stretch."

"Fellas, you better come tip her now before she gets sucked into VIP and you never see her again."

"Our next entertainer just broke up with her boyfriend and she's been feeling kind of sad." hehe

Just completely start making up shit "Our next entertainer has been in over 100 adult films as well as running her own bait and tackle shop" Just random shit.

"Our next entertainer is working on her PHD in physics and needs money for book."

My favorite lines were the ones I used when we were closing.

"Thanks for coming out fellas, and remember if your ugly please use a condom"

"Go ahead and save her a place at IHOP, I'm sure she'll meet you there soon. lol!"

"If you want her phone number, here it is" Then I'd give out the clubs phone number."

"You fuckers need to go because the managers are trying to get laid."

    I've got a million more.

I know you think I'm kidding but I've used everyone of these lines and I was tipped very well and got job offers from several different clubs. I've found that customers like it when you rag on them like your one of their buddies. Just my opinion, what do you think?
