Default How many have caught a stripper's cold during a dance?

I ask this because it seems like every fifth girl that dances with me is coughing or sniffling these days. Yet I haven't caught their colds. Have I just been lucky? I assume I'm not being overly cautious when I'm worried about a sick stripper giving me her cold. So I ask this to the board: what have your experiences been in these kinds of situations?

I think I may have caught something from one of my favorites the night before Thanksgiving. It was nearly empty and we were just hanging out all evening having a few too many drinks to celebrate the holiday. We ended up lip-locked several times through the course of the evening.

A few days later, I started getting some cold symptoms which I'm still not completely over. Even missed a few days of work.

Now, I can't 100% attribute this to my experience, because it's just that time of year for everyone to catch something. I suppose in any high-contact environment like a SC it's quite likely for things to be spread around. (Also don't forget tables, chairs, door handles, tip rails, etc.)

Trust me, we're more likely to get sick from you than from us. If you don't want to catch anything over the winter, don't touch or be near other ppl. Hell, just send the cash direstly to my paypal account. Now you won't have to "suffer". Sheesh you guys are a bunch of tools.

Going out any place where you're likely to spread whatever you have is just inconsiderate and a bad idea. But sadly most people don't give this much consideration and as a result everyone ends up with more illness.

Especially in a SC where everyone is "close contact" (even in no-contact clubs).

At least this is true in the US and its problem with so-called "work ethic". Not enough consideration to people taking time off for illness to recover. And people wonder why things spread so easily.

IMHO, forethought and prevention goes a long way to stop bigger problems later on.

I don't get sick anymore. I get plenty of sleep, and make sure I'm always properly hydrated. The last time I got sick was about 4 years ago, and it was because I had been up 'til all hours of the night, and then getting up and going to work for about 3 weeks... And wash your hands.

a sc probably propagates the cold and flu virus more or less like any other public place. the best way to reduce the chance is frequent hand washing and keeping one's fingers out of the eyes and nose. so, wash your hands before and between laps. it's not only good hygiene, but you never know when you're going to get digitally lucky (and i ain't talking about a phone number) with a stripper.

Well, me I like to wait until I get really sick, take a couple of Advil Cold and Sinus and then go into work and lick all my customers like a small affectionate dog (not my dog - she wouldn't lay her tongue on anyone, no matter how much you paid her. She has her dignity). Granted, it is a strange, thing to do, and I realize that people do wonder. However that is a small price to pay for smiting one's enemies.

Jenny, I realize that was in written in jest (and it was damn funny) but I hope you were not serious about your customers being your enemies.

No. I was not serious. Except that one guy - and he knows what he did. (Still kidding). Technically, if I were making enemies at work, it would probably be my non-customers. But jumping on them and licking them like a small, affectionate lap dog would be even harder to explain.

This is an interesting thread. And it made me think about whether strippers get health insurance. When you, dancers, are ill, how do you pay for your medical bills?

Hahaha! That's pretty funny. We pay cash, buy an exorbitantly priced private policym or just go ill. Me personally, I know lots of doctors that gave me the hookup. I would get my woman's work done at Planned Parenthood which is sliding scale and very reasonable. I also just paid dental/vision in cash, its not that bad if one shop's around.

Clearly this guy doesn't realize we're all just sniffling because of the massive amounts of coke we're doing in the bathroom, and coughing because that last BBBJ just went down the wrong way. So there you go, no worries! It's not contagious!

    *stares at Susan's avatar* Whoa.

I haven't caught any colds from my favorites but I did get a couple of scratches and a bite mark once. Does that count?

    1) If a dancer is sneezing and coughing a lot (not counting second-hand smoke coughs and the like) don't buy dances.

    2) Don't shove your tongue down a dancer's throat.

    3) A cold is still better than e.coli
