Dancer Asked For My #, What Does It Mean?

Hello there, this is my first post here. This forum seems like a lovely online community. I went to a club over the weekend and met a dancer there, bought her a couple of drinks, and a few dances.

So, she asks for my number during one of the dances, and then tells me to give it to her later after the dance when I see her back at the bar. So I tell myself, "ok, since she is asking for me to give it to her later, when she will no doubt be busy, she must be just trying to make me feel good."

Sure enough, when she got back out to the bar, She was busy with other customers just as I had predicted she would be. No big deal, I start talking to other dancers. I go for another dance or two with other dancers. At the end of evening, She came by and by that time I was out of cash. I began to say, "I'm sorry I have nothing..." and she darts away and reaches underneath the bar and grabs a pen and a napkin and gives me a look.

So I write my name and number down, and she took it.

I'd like to know if this is a practice some dancers may use to further "hook" new customers?

I'm not expecting her to call.

Smart move by not expecting too much. Most people want to take it for more than what it really is...

At my club, it's quite common for dancer to exchange phone numbers with customers they are intersested into making into regulars. The phone number they give you is usually a cel phone that they keep just for communicating with customers. It's typically a consensual thing, where a dancer will call a guy to let him know when she's working and invite him to come and see her. It's a way of drumming up business, basically.

She likely won't call. If she happens to give you her number, its still probably business but from a different angle. Dancers often have special cell phones they keep on hand for business contacts only. Take it for what it is...an opportunity for you to learn when shes working and for her to learn when you might be stopping by the club.

Yes, it is very common in my club as well for girls to exchange numbers with customers just to keep in contact with them. You might get a call from her, but if you do it will go something like this, "Hey, so are you going to come in and see me today?" and that's it.

Thats how it is at my club... if a girl takes your number, she will probably only call you if she is having a slow night and needs someone to come in and spend some money on her... I know that sounds horrible, but its true..... she'll figure that if you were willing to give her your number, you must be interested in her, and she'll use you as a backup whenever she needs some money and no one in the club is willing to spend it....

She thinks that you are acceptable enough as a customer to see again. Yes its about money but not everyone gets her number so go ahead and be flattered that your worth her time. When I have been asked for my number I will ask for the dancers number as well that way I can call her when I want to see her.

She thought she could get what she wanted faster by getting your card number and expiration date. But you did not take the hint. She took the other number anyway, resigned to having to work for your cash cache.

As MadisonM says "backup" She might even use that other number when she is not even at the club, you know, Western Union.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

My best guess is that she is super hot and she is interested in having a long term relationship with you.

It means she wants you to take her to Olive Garden for lunch sometime. Not just any ol' restauraunt, specifically Olive Garden. There's something about going to OG that makes dancers get really horny. Then when you're both under the intoxicating spell of chicken alfredo and Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay she gets you to take her shopping at a Neiman Marcus/Saks like place....

...or so I've heard, I can't confirm this firsthand because I'm still waiting for her to call back. And I gave her my phone number back in March.

Women in general know that men are gullible when it comes to having attention paid to them.
Women use this ploy to make the guy think, "Oh she LIKES me."
So he will come back to see her & spend more money he probably cannot afford.
Some women (NOT just dancers) have no real feelings for guys & use their feelings to get money.
Sounds like I am bitter, doesn't it?
No not all all. Just making an observation from my years of exprerience.
I will always love women, even if they don't love me back.

Well put observation TB. Very easy to become addicted to that attention. And hard to divide the users in life from those truly deserving of YOUR attention.

If I ask a customer for their number, it usually means they spent decent money in the club on me. I usually will call, but only to tell them when I am working and to invite them in again.

Well, the last one wanted me to help her move furniture.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

She knows you spent money on her and probablly seen you spend money on other girls. Now she knows you're good to spend when you come in and wants to latch on to you before you decide you like spending your time and money with the other girls. She will call when it's slow and needs someone to spend on her.

    My 2 cents.

The club I usually go to has a strict policy of no phone numbers are to be exchanged. So one night I was talking with one of my favorite dancers about my new cell phone. She said something like, " oh what's your new number"? I just laughed and kept talking. I kind of wonder though if it was just a joke. I doubt that the club would ever find out. Anyway, now that I read this it's clear that my mind was just at fantasy-stripclub-island.
