Yep. That's what my doctor said. It was one of my main reasons for getting them. Well, that and the fact that I like the look and feel of them.
Plus, I was told they can stay in forever as long as you have no problems.
My doctor said you don't need to replace implants unless you have something wrong with them.
And I get money back from being in the study. I've already gotten 300$
It was totally unexpected too. I just got a check in the mail one day!! What a nice surprise that was. I'm actually getting paid back for my boobs. How awesome is that lol.

the new silicone implants are more cohesive than old silicone. gummy bears are different. heres a good link.

maybe that will help!
I'm glad this thread got resurrected- I really want implants now and all these changes to implant options are keeping me on the fence.
Do dancers with co-gels notice any difference in the way their breasts move while in motion or doing pole work?
Do the co-gels under the muscle conform to the chest more than an saline bag implant might....?

^ I have many friends in the land of 'been legal for ten years' Australia.
And no they don't notice any difference.
And I honestly have not been able to tell the difference between and under and over cogel on ANY of my friends. Most (90%) got them over because there isn't much of a need to go under.

'Cept for that whole pesky breast cancer screening process. But sadly, younger women don't seem to consider that when getting their boobs done. It's scary, really, how little attention they pay to that sort of thing.Originally Posted by Lysondra

gummy bears are co-gels.

Regular silicone implants are still done right? Cohesive gel hasn't totally replaced it, right?
I'm thinking of switching to silicone (and smaller) when I'm done dancing but I don't want the "gummy bear" implants. I want regular old silicone filled bags.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Those are the implants I am getting for mine, they are approved in Canada.
