    Default Any Good Remixes?

I'm looking for some good remixes of songs. I know dancersarah said Magic stick remixed with the stroke was a great one and I agree its awesome. I also downloaded NIN VRs 50cent in da club. Anyone else have some good ones that dancers can dance too? Just trying to spice things up a litte throw a different mix in once a night or something.

are you talking about mash-ups or remixes? Cause what you were saying seemed like mash-ups to me. I have a good song you should play....it's called "Hear You Now" by DJ Hooligan.....it's a great slow song to wind down the night.

Either or, should have been more specific but either whatever works and workds well is what im after. I'll try "Hear You Now" by DJ Hooligan but I'm thinking its probally not gonna work since our club has a set BPM level we must keep above.

Thanks for your suggestion and if you have other please feel free to shout it at me.

Aphrodite does some great remixes. I also found a satisfaction/ in the club remix. Richard humpty vission remixed enriques not in love and thats hot. Ultra Dance '05 and Ultra Dance '06 have a couple good remixes on them. I am the queen of remixes!! Love em (as long as they're decent)!! Why play out the original when you could just dance to the remix?

Those are some great suggestions. I down loaded Joan jett Vs Alicia Keys "I Just Wanna Rock You" And Love it!! I probally have more remixes and extended mixes than regular songs. I cant seem to get enough of remixes but they have their place in clubs. You cant play a 7 min mix of a song for a dancer on stage so mash ups are perfect because they tend to stay the 3-4 mins time period like a normal song.

Please keep the suggestions coming, I dont want mixes that cheange the entire song with a different beat thats nothing like the original unless its a mash up.

I'll continue to keep posting as I get new ones that I think would work. Im also debating after reading so many post from DJs on this site on starting a strip club DJ resource site just for strip club DJS. I have searched the net with not much luck for help as a DJ. I have DJed in a few Topless clubs, A shit load of Night Clubs, Weddings, Dances, Roller Rinks, basically you name it I've done it. 19 Years of dJing I think im almost old enough to retire by now....lol

Thanks a bunch guys (and girls) for your help and post anything you think will be help full. After all isnt stripperweb all about questions and helping others? Its a wonderful site one I'm proud to be a member of.

There is a hot remix of Closer with Static-X--I never play the original anymore--though it is of course an excellent song, it has been played into the ground. The Static-X remix is close enough to the original so that those many dancers who don't like remixes will still be comfortable with it, but different enough so that you won't feel like you are just playing what every other asshole does all the time.

I play it for CrazySassyCassy all the time, and she tears up the stage with it--but then she does that every time she goes up, lol...

There is also an excellent remix of the Rammstein version of Depeche Mode "Stripped", which I believe was done by (Charlie?) Clouser. It has a techno feel--especially at the beginning, but is basically heavy rock, so if you have customers and/or managers who dislike techno it shouldn't be a problem.

After Mr. C tipped me off to Clouser, I DLed a bunch of his stuff, and burned it all on one CD, along with some hot Velvet Acid Christ tracks. It's on that CD, so I think it is his. Mr. C with his great musical wisdom will no doubt let you know if this is correct.

I am very fond of remixes and play them as much as possible, to avoid being just like every other predictable DJ out there pounding out dinosaur rock and overplayed rap songs. If you keep checking back here you will see a lot more suggestions from me and our other members, I'm sure...

So many remixes suck, and there are so many out there, that it is a real hit or miss proposition when searching the shareware sites. I usually do repeated searches and almost always get different results at different times. Then you will get lucky sometimes...

The Crystal Method CD called "Community Service" was very disappointing, except it has a kick ass version of "Boom" by P.O.D. that might well be worth the purchase price if you like it. I haven't heard "Communtiy Service II", so I don't know about it, but I will be checking out their version of The Doors "Roadhouse Blues", since that I love that song (unlike most of The Doors stuff, sorry--especially that lame-ass "Hello, I Love You", which I will play if you hold a gun to my head, maybe).

For the Sarah McLachlan fans out there, there is a great remix CD called, you guessed it, "Sarah McLachlan Remixed". It has too many Tiesto remixes for my liking--I am not as you might have guessed a big fan of his, since I prefer the sensuous groove sound to the really fast shit like Tiesto puts out. There are some good BT remixes and a fairly good Rabbit in the Moon "Possession", but why they left off their version of "Fear" is beyond me. It was put out by Nettwerk out of Vancouver in 2001.

Djoser, there's actually a newer Sarah McLachlan remix cd. It has a big blue butterfly on the cover, and I THINK they're all new versions though to be honest I haven't compared. (And yes, the Crystal Method remix of POD's "Boom" is the shit.)

Speaking of the Doors, there's a nifty remix of "Break On Thru" that I got from PhillyDJ. It says it's BT Vs The Doors. I like it, and the girlies seem to as well. It goes nicely with the "Malibu Mix" of "Listen To The Music" by Doobie Brothers.

    Sounds good to me!

I've always had very good luck with your suggestions.

After reading your post I clicked on that link--I had just copied it off the CD I had--and sure enough, it's got a butterfly on the cover, and all new songs, some of them with some really good musicians/DJs (even Sly & Robbie are on there). I will definitely be getting this one! Here's a link to the CD itself, which is called "Bloom":

I found it both amusing and promising to see that Nettwerk handles Swollen Members...

    >>> NIN & Static-X - Closer Remix

Quote 'djoser': I DLed my Static-X "Closer" ... I have no idea where to buy it, sorry to say--but I bet one of our other members will know--sorry! Maybe try a discography search for Static-X, or some similar search on google?

I did some search and not found any useful information about this song. If anyone here has any idea about (who did it? album name? DJ?) I'll be very grateful. :-)

    >>> P.O.D. - Boom (The Crystal Method Remix)

Quote 'djoser': The Crystal Method CD called "Community Service" was very disappointing, except it has a kick ass version of "Boom" by P.O.D. that might well be worth the purchase price if you like it.

    it's a great remix, I'm happy to know it's the only good track in that cd, ao I will don't buy it;
this song is also in 'Biker Boyz Soundtrack" (cheaper!) and as bonus track in 'Satellite limited ed."

    >>> Sarah McLachlan - Fear (Lunasol remix)

Plastic Compilation Volume 1 Nettwerk Track 9
Rarities, B-Sides & Other Stuff Nettwerk Track 3
Rabbit In The Moon: Remixes Volume 1 Hallucination Track 1

I bought "Rabbit in the Moon Remixes, Vol.1" last summer, because djoser adviced this remix :-), and I like only this track :-/
I think a better purchase is the Plasric Compilation, a lot of good remixes on it.

    >>> Delerium "Bloom"

    Djoser,
don't miss the japan bonus track!
    'Fallen' (Satoshi Tomiie's Interpretation)
.. joking .. any good in 'Bloom'? Please, let us know.

    MrChristopher,
in a old post u suggested:
'Depeche Mode - Behind The Wheel / Route 66 (Mega-Single Mix)'
    I think it's very good! I enjoy it! Thank-you!

I will think any good remixes in next days ..

    ciao

ps: Sorry for any spelling mistake, I'm Italian.

Edit: I did want to throw this in--there is a great little CD called "Collision Course", which is a collaboration between Jay-Z and Linkin Park. My favorite track is 6: ""Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer". All in all, I prefer the Linkin Park remix CD "Reanimation" (one of my all-time favorite Cds, and I used to hate Linkin Park!!), but this of course has a more urban style. Not to mention it has special meaning, since my DJ friend Dale gave it to me about an hour before he was shot.

We could care less about your spelling!

Be patient, we'll figure out where to get that Static-X remix. You could just maybe keep trying on Limewire, if you have that (pretty decent) file-sharing program. I DLed a whole lot of really great stuff from it in just a couple of months. One thing that seems to help with the harder-to-find stuff is to do repeated searches, since different users online will have different stuff.

Thanks for the tip about the "Biker Boyz" soundtrack--my Community Service CD skips on "Boom", the only good track, dammit!

You are right about the Plastic compilation CD being better, sorry you wasted your money on the Rabbit in the Moon CD instead. There are at least two other Plastic Compilations that are pretty decent, as well.

"Behind the Wheel" is a damned good song, too. Though I missed that post, Mr. C always has great advice to offer.

So you are Italian? I had assumed with a name like "TankGirl" you were American. But you are staying near the Red Sea? Sounds like there might be an interesting story, here...

Oh, and I have ordered the "Bloom" McLachlan Remix CD, and it will be in tomorrow. If I have time before work tomorrow, I will pick it up, and when I recover from the after-work NYE partying, I will listen to it and post about it!

I have a lot of other new remix suggestions (not to mention I just bought 31 CDs today with a bunch more, lol), but that'll have to wait just a bit longer, I need to sleep a little as tomorrow could be a big night.

I think it was a good thread, maybe do you know any new/good remix ?

I'm a big fan of Annie Lennox and ... still waiting to listen the obscure remix from djoser :-)
The only remix I really like is: Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) [Steve Angello Bootleg]

Another good/old remix of P.O.D. is: Satellite [Oakenfold Remix]

One still old, but I discover recently and I think it's better than the original is:
Little Wonder (Danny Saber Dance Mix) - David Bowie

My favorite mashup right now mixes NIN's "Closer" with the Beatles' "Come Together." I think it's called "Come Closer Together," and it positively fucking rocks.
