Thumbs up To strip, or not to strip...

OK... That is my poll question. If I can get the poll to work..hmm..If it doesn't work, just let me know please?
Excuse the photo's quality, this was spur of the moment inspiration, and I wanted now pics.
So, my stats are 35-29-40, I'm a tad over 5'8''(legs), wear a size 12, and I have ass length hair, decent face, chubby tummy and large ass (fat from cancer, then slow thyroid issues from meds). I keep thinking I should say screw my chub and go for it. Like I can loose weight while I'm dancing too. Life is to short to say I wanna...
I work out every day, some times 2 times, any wear from 30 mins to 3 hours. I also eat right, and have beautiful skin(no back and but zits).
My man says loose more, he thinks I'll get drunk comments(like EVERYONE does), but I want to here from what the guys and other chicks here think.
So, tell me what ya think please, and don't worry about offence...I can't smack through a moniter*grins*

I'll answer in the poll too, but I have a few comments :

First, your stats and your size seem pretty inconsistent, unless you're using sizing other than "women's"...I'm 5'6", roughly 36-29-36 (and that's standing up straight, not letting my tummy hang out ), and I wear a size 6...and I have hardly any muscle, so I don't know why you'd be wearing a bigger size with such similar measurements...but that really has nothing to do with anything, I'm just curious.

Second, it was hard to get a good look at your face in the pictures you posted, but if that's you in your avatar, it's a hell of a lot better than decent IMHO. And, love the long dark hair...don't you dare bleach it !

Third, even if you're a size twelve, you seem to have remarkably good contouring (again, kinda hard to tell in the pictures). If you're firmed up enough that you're not jiggling all over the place while you dance (except for the parts that are supposed to be jiggling ), I don't think being a little bigger than average will matter as much.

The main thing I see going against you is the fact that you yourself are questioning whether your body is "ready" for stripping. It's perfectly understandable (when I finally take the plunge, you'll probably see a post from me on the same topic ). But as you pointed out, everyone gets drunken comments, and if you're already doubting whether you're in good enough shape, they're more likely to hit home. I hope you get some helpful feedback here, but I think the real answer is, you're ready to start dancing when 1) YOU are satisfied with your look and 2) you've found a club you like that will hire you with that look.

Go for it as long as you are comfortable doing it.

You look fine to me. There are girls in my club with tummys and all I can say is never underestimate the value of a pretty face. Wear flattering clothes and smile, smile, smile. I've gotten the odd comment from some jerk like "oh, need to tone up here a bit more" (the 'odd' comment being two altogether in four and a half months of lapdancing). But those guys were dicks. Mostly everyone will rave and rant about how beautiful you are. I actually think dancing can help a girl overcome her body issues, while paradoxically inspiring her to look better than ever (it's all about self-love and appreciation).

So I say go for it. And if you've been through cancer, I think you could conquer the world.

i pm'd you about your pics!!! you look good and healthy.. i wouldn't 'even look at you and think "oh that girl shouldn't be dancing"... you've got a long way to go if u think you're anywhere near big.... just keep working out and eating right and the weight will come off at its own pace.... the dancing will tone u up in no time as well....

If I went to a womans dept and purchased high rise pants, I'd probably be a ten. My size is in my lower stomach, and my thighs. I also wear loose clothing, and shop in the young adults section. I know I'm like 15-17 pounds away from a 6, and it is amaising how much loosing a pound of fat and an inch can make a difference on sizing. Also, my pants are generally tight on legs, and loose in tummy( I generally take them in to fit my body).
    Dress size, I am about a 10.
Thanks for your positive coments, and that is my pic in my avatar It's hard to take decent mirror pics, and I don't know how to use my cams timer(guess I could have used the video and paused it, duh)
I'll be here to support you when you get ready to audition

Susie -You should totally not wait. The sooner you get started the easier it will be for you. I had the same attitiude before I started. I kept telling myself I needed to loose a little more weight, clear up my skin more, etc. I mean everyone has room for improvement and you can still make those improvements after you've started dancing.

Its true, dancing really will help tone you up and smiling a lot makes a big difference. A girl can be a complete 10 and wander around the room scowling, but she's not going to get that many dances. Good luck!

So true! Anyone can go to a surgeon and pay to have their body reworked like Barbie doll, but the face requires so much finesse that you're pretty much stuck (or in your case, susie, blessed ) with what you were born with.

Seriously, there's no need for you to wait around for three months...so don't!

Im not a dancer...Yet but i think its more about charisma and selling dances on your personality and charm, you have a gleaming smile and you are pretty, a smile can go a long way and i think your being silly about your figure diff strokes for diff folks, some guys will luv ya others may not...

    Good luck x

Destiny, I've felt the nip tuck callen me, but I won't say for what
You couldn't be more correct Nariah, when I was dancing and thinner, I had several your too thin comments. We get comments no matter what.
I think I'm very beautiful, including my body; but I also appreciate the beauty in most.
I'm gonna buckle up and visit the club I'm interested in(I'll bring my clothes just in case, lol), probably next week.

Good luck Susie! I would go for it now...tone up WHILE you're making money, not the other way around.

You obviously have a stellar personality and a beautiful face. The pics above don't look to me like you have anything to worry about.

Go and make some money honey!!

You look great! Your looks should be the last thing holding you back.

Remember high heels will make you look even more toned/fit than you already are. No worries in the looks dept.
