    Profitable traveling and the carribean

Where are some of the most profitable places you have danced (State/city/club)? How much did you make on an average night? What was the club like? I am thinking about going traveling, so I'm interested in places I should go. What about dancing in the carribean (or abroad elsewhere), anyone know anything about that? I am not looking for safety advice.
    So sexy almost evil

I clocked in 1 full year in the Carribean dancing. I recommend Saint Maarten to you. (Puerto Rico's economy is not so good now, & prostitution is rampant. Smaller islands in the region have little dive bars with dubious earning potential & safety.) Saint Maarten is a French/Dutch island & I've heard rave reviews from dancers who have been there.
While I don't regret my time in the Carribean, I will never forget some of the hazards of island living, such as skewed cultural values, high cost of living, interruptions in water service & hurricanes. Tread carefully!

Profitable travelling and the caribbean don't belong in the same sentence. It would be a nice "working vacation", but don't expect to bring any money home. Safety is another issue in itself. St Maarten would be the best bet, but I don't think I'd go there either - not as good as it used to be apparently. I lived/worked a year and a half in Puerto Rico - St Maarten is just an hour flight away, I had a friend in PR who worked in S.M - basically it was great a few years ago but not so much anymore. PLUS, there's so much faaaaaantastic shopping in St Maarten, if you do make any money, you'll spend it all the next day LOL.

About the Caribbean, I've said it before, but I'll say it again: It's not worth the bother. If you want a nice vacation, and to make some of your money back along the way, by all means, book a VACATION and then work a few shifts while you're there. But don't count on it for making a profit.

I wouldn't work anywhere in the Caribbean except St Maarten or Puerto Rico. Anywhere else, figure the strip clubs are all brothels. Most the PR clubs are brothels.

The only club I could say for sure isn't a full-blown brothel in PR would be Divas, and I can tell you all kinds of things about that place that would make you NEVER want to go there. Lots and lots of shady bullshit, not to mention slave-like working hours making it difficult to enjoy a vacation there. PR is a Us property so American girls can come and go as they please.

For St Maarten, the club to try would be The Platinum Room. American/Canadian girls will need a visa to work there, which the club helps you obtain. It's setup and decorated very uniquely and fun.

In either case, you BETTER get and pay for your own flights and rooms BEFORE you go, so if you get there and hate the work you aren't screwed. And take enough cash to ensure you can eat/drink for the duration of the trip as well. Plan it like a vacation with the possibility of working on the side. Then there are no disappointments.

OK, I never wanted to let loose on the Carribean since I enjoyed my time there, but I have to warn you, it's not a profitable or sane region. Groceries & sundries are expensive, there's a lot of drugs floating around (about half of the drugs that get into the mainland US go through the Carribean) and the clubs are often shady since club owners usually come up with the bright idea of laundering drug money through a nightclub. Heck, I've seen it with my own eyes. PLUS prostitution is so widely cheaply available, strippers are like a joke to seasoned natives.
Even though Puerto Rico doesn't like to admit it, they took a major financial blow by chasing the US Navy away. Oh, hope they got their Water Union back on the job too....LOL

No shit. Anytime the subject came up and I tried to reason with people that it would cause more harm (financially, socially, etc) than good, they all acted like I was crazy. Well, guess what? Their highway toll fees are being raised astronomically, and so are their water rates. My friend told me the other night that water rates are being doubled. And this doesn't mention any of the other issues that come with such a large financial loss (US govt was GIVING Puerto Rico $12bil per year to have that base on Vieques - no base, no $12bil). This is a HUGE part of the reason I left when I did - I knew things were gonna go to shit. Crime has gone up exponentially also.

Hmm, reading about the Carribean clubs takes me back a couple of months to when I met my Dad for the first time in 25 years. He is from there and just flat out didn't belive that I work as a stripper in a club where there's no contact at all, now I sort of see why he was having such a hard time accepting my work...

As far as I'm concerned there is no Aus vs USA, or anyone else! I should have just said that in some areas the clubs are already over saturated and customer numbers have dropped considerably this year - and left it to everyone to figure out the rest (-:
