I got rid of grudges a while back. I have a memory, yes, but grudges aren't worth it. This story is one of the reasons.
Asshole breaks necklace and gets thrown out. Three hours later, the dancer is still pissed enough to risk assault charges and a night in jail or a broken nose from a fight. So not only did the asshole break a necklace, but he has controlled her mood for another three hours without even being around.
So I don't let assholes rip up my peace of mind. They're not worth it.

^^This is why stoicism is my favourite philosophy. Just do your best, but utlimately, know that control is an illusion. Take steps to ensure your welfare, but know it's absurd to think you can recriprocate all the crap you get dealt with in life.
Marcus Aurelius-"How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it."

Ditto sunshine!
just be careful, there are alot of crazies out there who would love to retaliate on a cute female.

That's my thinking. Please be careful! I would hate to see something happen to you because of this action.Originally Posted by SthnrnGrl77

Keep an eye out for trouble sweetie...
Ok, first off, I agree there is no reason to wear an expensive necklace at work, it is so dark in there guys aren't going to notice if you are wearing a rip off, and on the rare occasion they do, be honest and tell them that you save your nice one for wearing outside the club and you wear this one at work because you don't want to risk it breaking, and say it with a little giggle in your voice. I don't see any guy giving a crap. And if they do, off to the next guy, their loss.
And was the guy in the waffle house provoking you in any way? Or did you just see him sitting down enjoying his meal and walk up and punch him? If so, that was extreamly immature. And like Jay Zeno said, you let that man screw with your mind for hours, and I am sure you being in a bad mind set for the rest of the night cost you enough where you could have bought another Tiffany necklace. Violence is not the answer for anything.
And let's say this guy did press charges and you go to jail. And then the guy goes to your club and tells them what happen, then you loose your job. So now you have a broken necklace, have lost money, are in jail, and have no job. Now is that worth it? BTW the guy might still go back up to your club and tell them what happened, and even though you didn't get arrested there is still a police report and if he shows that to your manager any good manager would fire you ASAP because you area liability to the club.

Any brain involved in this incident has yet to weigh in.Originally Posted by Cally
