    Default problems

About 3 months ago I temporarily stopped stripping to get a change in my enviroment. My new job pays $14 /hr and is 60 hrs a week. Now here's the problem.....I have 2 young children (that my mom used to care for) that Ive been looking for daycare for.I am going to end up paying $375 /week for childcare for both of them. But my paycheck (weekly) is $800. If I go back to dancing I wont have to wory about childcare because my man can watch them at night. I feel guilty about leaving my day job because they are really busy and if I quit I know I wont be able to come back. But I'll be able to spend more time with my kids and also know that Ill make more dancing (but enjoyed the people that worked at my day job).Did I forget to say that my man doesnt want me to go back to dancing....but I really could care less

$800 a week is gross pay I take it. Why does your man not want you to dance? Is it because he will miss you at night, or another reason?

Working 60 hours a week is more than you will work dancing 5 nights a week. And on a slow week you should at least be able to make what you make take home at your job. You'll just have to cover your own health benefits.

Wouldn't your guy rather have the $375 a week you pay out in childcare in his pocket? That's $1500 a month. I don't understand some guys. Are they actually afraid their dancer girlfriend will find another man in the club?

Yea, I don't get the "I don't want my gf to dance," thing. Yes, there is the jealousy factor, but it's just a a job to us and there are some women struggling out there with kids because their BF won't let them start/return to dancing. You already said that you could care less about his wishes, so that's all done.

It sounds like your biggest issue is feeling guilty for leaving your day job, but they aren't taking care of your children, you are. Maybe you can ask to reduce you hours and pick up dancing again part-time to at least make up the childcare money.

If I were in your shoes, and the above option was not available, I would go the dancing route. I don't know how old your kids are, but it will be nice to be able to spend that extra time with them. The only time your away from them is when they're sleeping.

My mother would say, "Make a list. Write down your options and the pros and cons and see which one is better." Good luck with your decision.

Tina , he's afraid his friends will see me in the club (Iwas dancing when he met me).His argument is that Im special to him and he doesnt want to hear comments like "I can see your girl anytime I want for $10. My argument is that until he is able to support me and the lifestyle that I am accustomed to living I will continue dancing until Im able to make more money in less time.I just felt it would not be a wise choice to stay at a job where I would have to pay out half for childcare. By being in California (L.A.) dancing is so shaky but I know on a bad night I willk bring home $200.

I just feel guilty about leaving them on short notice.Your right about me being the one taking care of my kids.

My ex had the same fear, that we would run into other guys who I've danced for and they would mock him as a "cuckhold". Boyegos can be so fragile.

Although your monthly gross is $3360, you are working 240 hours for it!!! That's a lot of energy to spend when you have kids at home waiting. If you have the looks and attitude for it, do it in another part of town, or even in a neighboring city.

Whatever you do, don't bring work home with you, don't talk negatively about it to your boyfriend if you can help it. That's a tall order, but it helps when you have a job of that nature. Good luck!
