A smart DJ won't play a 10 min song tho because it WILL get us killed rather quickly.

It is typically one 3 or 4 minute song, but I've been in clubs with 4 to 5 minute timers, independent of the song. Renewals are at the op[tion of the customer. Between lapdances ometimes there is a brief time off for payment, but sometimes only time to come up for air with a weak "one more". LOL

So dancing is often not for the length of a song, nor is it really dancing, but I still often like it.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

This is why DJs should be tipped by the customers. They would be far more appreciative.

I am so lucky in this area. Our DJ cuts songs at 2min. He does it in such a way that customers never notice or complain. We make so much more money, tip him more, customers seem unaware, everyone's happy!! Just remember to show your appreciation if you do happen to get a DJ this good!

DJ at the club im at now cuts it a 3min 20 seconds. The club I used to work at cuts it at like 4min or something.... for some reason that 40 seconds makes a hell of a difference lol. The shorter the better I say! And a DJ that let the song go 10min would be killed by me

Usually one song. And they usually last 3-4 minutes. Now if a lot of girls aren't on the list (to go on stage and dance) it will last longer, like 5 minutes and sometimes even longer.

ROFL, I have danced to that song before, and yes the WHOLE LIVE VERSION. All 20+mins of it. It was the longest set I have ever done, but I made quite a bit so I can't complain, lol.

Dances in the back at my club are timed, so the actual song length is irrelevant. But I'll play "Immigrant Song" way before I'll bust out "Get Ready". Generally speaking, songs are to be kept under 4 minutes. Oh, and I worked at a club once that made us cut songs to 2 minutes in the daytime... All I know is that if it's not obvious, you're not paying attention. The more songs you get in, the better, really....but 2 minutes is a bit ridiculous, IMHO.

I tip most everyone at the SC I go to (including doormen, bouncers, barstaff, restroom attendants), everyone except for the DJ whom it is universally agreed amongst the customers I talk to is an A-hole for the horrible choice of music he selects to play. I think everybody loves to hate the DJ.
