My point? Headshrinks don't work for everyone, on both sides of the equation.
Some people have problems that require serious medication & counseling. Most people don't though. Some corporate goons figured out the Placebo Effect could be profitable if they started charging people for a chance to be "better."
    What's normal anyway?

Yea, I was once told by a Psychiatrist "There is no such thing as normal, that normal is in the eye of the beholder", however it is not so much that one wants to be normal as it is to be healthy.

It is America's overall Health Insurance industry that has worn good doctors down to the point that they can no longer treat their patients in the capacity that they once use to years ago. Insurance wants to always go the cheap route.... Now you get a P.A. in an emergency room instead of the actual Doctor, or in the case of a Psychiatrist they are no longer allowed to counsel you just prescribe drugs only. You have to go to a counselor or psycologist for actual counseling. Doctors are constantly fighting the insurance companies just to get paid, it gets to the point of ridiculous, and the really good doctors finally retire and get out all together. Too much of a headache for them.
