i broke out the first time i was waxed on my eyebrows, tons of little bumps. it was b/c i used too many products the same day after getting it done, cleansers toners etc. what have you been washing your face with? i wouldn't put too much stuff on your face after waxing for a day or so after.

yeah the clearasil and tea tree oil might have done it..maybe the tend skin will help. i'm guessing here just saying that the only time i ever broke out after waxing was when i used facial products too soon afterward.

I used to break out when I first started getting my eyebrows waxed. Now, years later, nothing happens. Maybe you have to get used to it?

If the person you go to for waxing services is using an oily wax remover after she's finished waxing you, it is probably the culprit.

Ask her to use a lotion remover or even better, nothing at all.

You can buy your own remover at Sally's. The lotion one is called "wax Off".

I used to have this problem when waxing my upper lip & eyebrows, now I always wipe the area with medical alcohol wipes, you know the ones that they use before giving you injections, and I have never had those little spots every again. If you get it done at a salon, bring them with you and ask the BT to wipe it down first!

I don't know if it would help with the side of the face though as I have had such a bad reaction from doing this I am afraid to do it again!

I would steer clear of tea tree oil, it is natural but that doesnt mean it isnt harsh. It is a very strong astringent and lots of people are alergic to it. I am and it makes me break out in a rash. That might be a part of the problem,

I use Bikini Zone on the waxed areas, which contains analgesics. Neosporin will works sometimes.

Has anyone ever used Tend Skin on their face? I wonder if it would do more harm than good?

Azulene oil (get it at the drugstore in the waxing section) is very calming to the skin, as is essential oil of lavender.

if you are still having bumps you could try cortizone cream, it will calm the irritation. and i would say search online for a products that are for VERY sensitive skin, even post op, and then use that face wash an lotion for the few days before and after waxing. anything you get at a drugs store (except mabey burts bee's) will be loaded with any number of things that could upset your skin.
