Well, I did it! Thanks for your advice everyone!

So I went shopping around locally yesterday. I went to Cathie's off Powell (lots of selection, nice girls there, 15% dancer discount after you're hired). And to Metro on Hawthorne, less selection but good deals on boots (and 20% off for dancers!!). Both places had shoes ranging from 45-80+.

I really wanted something pretty and I'd been researching online so this was basically just to affirm sizes. Its weird but I'm a size larger in boots than in shoes.
Anyway, I fell in love with some boots at metro but I knew I could get them for about 20 less on snaz75. Soooo, I got thi hi's at both stores so I have: white fishnet w/ backseam and stays, black fishnet with stays (for 50 cents at Cathies!!), and black opaques. I decided for outfits I'm going with Audrey Leigh's suggestion and investing in a black lingere theme to go with the fishnets. I'm so excited.

So here are the shoes I got on Snaz, both are pleasers and 5 1/2 inches. I got free shipping on em too, yay!

I'm elated, I can't wait till they come to the door!

I haven't told him I still want to dance yet, I'm just continuing to research and make my plans and will probably bring it up again in a couple weeks. I just found out I got accepted to a study abroad program in Europe for 4 months so I may not end up starting for a long while!!! At least it will give me a lot of time to make sure I know where to audition, and to get ready to the fullest. Thanks for asking btw!

Good starter shoes. I'd advise NO platforms over 1 inch to start with -- I tried wearing high platforms recently (after being used to a high rise with minimal platforms) and, well, you've seen me complaining about how my foot is sprained and I can't dance at all for a while. :-(

I just ordered some shoes myself -- the M-Juliet by Ellie. The Juliet series has some similar ones to those platforms, I think? Try looking 'em up?

She means the front of the shoes shouldnt be over 1" .... typically theres a 6" heel with 2" plat ... so itd be a 5" heel with 1" plat

Good luck and have fun studying abroad!

Just in case, don't forget to type "stripperweb" into the cupon code for an extra 10% off!

thanks for the explaination! These are both 5 1/2 inch shoes with a 1 1/2 inch platform. That shouldn't be too bad.

I found another pair to replace my black platforms today I think. Also by pleaser but clear throughout and with a small cone heel. Should be easier to walk in.

Yay, they emailed back! They are sending me the same pair as above but with white patent instead of black. This is probably better because then I'll have a pair for light outfits and the boots for my dark color outfits. Woo hooo shoes shoes shoes.

If I do end up stripping, I can see myself buying many more shoes! lol
