Paradise Club and Sapphires in WI?

Hi. I'm considering dancing at either Sapphires in Menasha or the Paradise Club in Grand Chute, WI. Does anyone have any info about these clubs? I don't want to travel very far from home, especially during the winter, so these are my two main options.

I've visited Sapphires and plan to visit the other one soon, but it's hard to judge a place just by going there a couple of times as a customer. I'm particularly interested in learning about the working conditions and earnings potential at either of these clubs.

    TIA

I personally don't dance at either one of these clubs (too close to home, don't want to run into family members or people I know), but I've been to both of them. Sapphires is the better club of the two. They have amateur night on Wednesday nights, and I believe you win $200 if you come in first place and $25 if you come in second. They have to have at least 3 girls in the contest for you to win money though. If two or fewer girls show up, you can still do the contest and they will still offer you a job if they like you, but you don't win any money. It's a really nice, classy looking club and they have a VIP room. I believe you keep all your lap dance money, but I'm not positive about that. There may be a fee or tipout; I'm not sure. They had good looking girls and the place was really nice. I'm not sure how long the girls have to work. There is no tip walk here.

The Paradise Club is kind of a dive, and you have to work ridiculously long hours. 12 hour shifts, 2 pm until 2 am. I have a good friend who worked there and she didn't make very much money. You get $2 for every drink you sell. You also get $10 from each $20 dance, but you won't do very many dances here. You're lucky if you get 2 dances a night. The area they have for doing dances is really dumb-only one girl can do a dance at a time, and instead of having a chair or couch, they have a little wooden block the girl dances on while the customer sits in a chair in front of the block. It's mostly the same customers that come in here all the time (local guys), and they just come in to have a beer and don't spend any money. They have a tip walk here and you walk around after your stage set and collect tips from all the customers in the bar. I went in here last Friday and it was fairly busy, but I talked to one of the dancers and she said a lot of the guys were really cheap and not even tipping on the tip walk.

I would try Sapphires first-the Paradise Club is not worth your time.

    Thanks for responding

My boyfriend kept telling me that I would not like to work at the Paradise Club, that the place was a dive and that the dancers were always cranky, (now I know why! twelve hours shifts and no money! yikes!). But I guess I just needed to hear it from someone in the industry.

Thanks again. I'll check out Sapphires
