    Default Easy potluck ideas

OK, I have a party to go to tomorrow night and I just remembered it is a pot luck... so I have to make something to bring.... Im not much of a cook, but even worse, I have practically no food in the house, Im going to have to drive into town early tomorrow, shop for whatever, borrow a kitchen, and make my dish before the party... so what are some good easy recipe suggestions for me?

    1) Go to Costco.

    2) Grab a meat, vegetable, or fruit, etc. tray.

    3) buy it.

    4) take it to the party.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

    1 can corn, drained
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 or 3 green onions, chopped
1 chopped tomato (optional - I never use it because I hate tomato)
    Chopped garlic to taste
1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing
    2 Tbsp cumin

Stir the cumin and garlic into the salad dressing. Mix everything else together. This gets better and better the longer it sits (preferably chilled). You can eat it by itself as a salad, or serve it with tortilla chips as a dip (best this way) or even use it as a salsa on sandwiches, fajitas, whatever. I've been making this for years when I have to throw something together in a hurry for a party, and everyone goes nuts for it. I never have leftovers.

Macaroni and Cheese (with them little hot dogs all the better mmmmm!)

If you have a crock pot, you can cook up some good stuff. Maybe google crock pot recipe's to find something that appeals to you.

You can leave out the green onion if you want. Just throw in anything Mexican and it'll work.

The great thing about this recipe is it's made out of stuff you always have lying around already!

Do mine then! I promise everyone will love it, and it really is super-easy.

It's best if you serve it with tortilla chips. They can either be broken over the top for a little crunch, or dipped. I want to make some of this for myself this weekend now... haven't had it in awhile!

Fruit salad. Absolutely no cooking involved.

    Apples
    Sliced Mandarin Oranges
    Marachino Cherries
    Chunk Pineapple

The biggest work is washing everything and slicing the apples.

Deviled eggs are really easy, and can be considered an egg salad, I made them for a potluck today, and everyone always loves them

    12 eggs
    6 tablespoons mayo
    2 tblsp mustard
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 cup shredded cheddar
    dash worcestershire sce

Boil the eggs, half them, push out the yolks into separate bowl, Mix yolks, mustard, cheese, and worcestershire sce in bowl, restuff eggs, and your done!!
