    Default clip in extensions- instructions?

argh, iv spent the last hour googling this topic to find out if theres a proper way to put in these extensions?

i just brought a set off ebay, and they look amazing. but they didnt come with any instructions, and im a bit paranoid that they will fall out. sometimes during the night, the clip thing flips in my hair, and instead of the cob bit pointing down, it flips to point up.

is there a correct way to put these clip things in? am i ment to be putting them facing up anyways?

it sucks that my hair is so thin, i have to pull the front sides back, like a hippy to try and cover the top and side clip ins lol least im super tall with my heels on,so most guys cany see the top of my head hehe

I have a system for my clip ins that is fool-proof. I get the Jamacian neighbor to do 2 braids cornrow style from ear to ear along the back of my head. Very flat and small braids against the scalp.

Then I just clip the extensions onto the braids. They cannot possibly fall out, they get hooked onto the braids really good. After 3 or 4 days, I get the braids taken down.

I do a horizontal part where I want them to go, and backcomb a bit. Clip onto the backcombed part, and let the hair on top cover it.

The clips shouldn't be flipping...make sure you don't shake your hair around too much.

I part my hair where I want to place the clip, backcomb it (tease the hair), and spray it with a tiny bit of hairspray, then I clip the hair to the back combing and smooth it all down. They really stay in that way.

I Suffer with thin hair too, but I know this has nothing to do with extensions even though im thinking of buying some. For thin hair you should Use thickening Hair shampoo I use Pantene Pro-V - Full & Thick shampoo + conditioner & also before I dry my hair I use ghd heat protector spray not as much hair falls out then + also take the supplement zinc + vitamin B6, you wont be as thin then, it really works for me, and I hope it works for you too.

a corn row is just a thin french braid. about a quarter inch wide anyone can do it but its a popular "ethnic" look hence the jamaican neighbor. the plus side of doing this is that you are cliping the extentions into hair that isnt going anywhere, the clips cant slide out.

i used to wear clip-ins before i had fusion done. just lay the track out on your head, and rat up the hair under the clips. if you rat it up too much, though, the clip won't fasten.

I was able to do backbends, and everything like normal...... Except for sleep in them, of course.

Also, real hair shouldn't glow in UV light... Try washing it. To do that, fill the tub up, put some shampoo in your hand, and rub back and forth on the extensions. To condition some, drizzle some conditioner into the water, and swoosh the extensions around. LET THEM AIRDRY! If you blowdry them, they frizz up. Once they're dry, you can just straigthen them out like normal, and then wear them like you were.

Check out Edens hair extensions on eBay!! not too cheap, but worth the amount of money spent! Every penny. I just got my black ones (pack of 12) yesterday! They have a hair comb and a clip combined! They clip very well do not hurt, and KICK ASS. Too bad for me they look stupid with the very blonde hair at this time.

I don't like that look, as i used to wear it with my hair dyed, Guess i grew out of it! (thank God) i would get red or a darker blonde perhaps....don't know what i was thinking

Black? Don't cut it for me anymore...it looks too "young" and everyone has that look it seems...at least too young for me. Anywhoo....i love the way they feel/look wrong colour.

Mine cost close to $100 with shipping!

Oh I forgot, sometimes my clips pop open if you try to hang them on too much hair. Maybe try cliping them onto smaller chunks?

Also,if you can't find someone to put some flat-braids into your head, do the backcombing thing, that should work.

If you are not totally sure about the hair being real, don't use any heat styling on them!!

The only other tip I can give you, is that if you have anyone who can do fusion (cinderella, great lengths), put about 20 pieces into the back of your hair, near the bottom, cut them the same length as your regular hair (without the clips). The fusion extensions are glued onto your hair really good, and the glue part is close to the scalp, in a little ball kinda stuck to the hair. The glue ball is the perfect place to hang your clips off - they never will slip out if you glue them onto the fusion hair.
