I often get bubbles (tiny ones) in the surface of my polish. I hate it, it messes up the whole job. Often times they don't show up until the polish is mostly dry. I HATE IT! Why does this happen, and how can I stop it?

If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

Your polish may not be any good anymore. How long have you had it???

Among other things, I'm also a professional nail tech, and these tips will eliminate the bubbles.
1) DO NOT shake the bottle of polish--roll between your palms instead. Shaking causes air bubbles.
2) don't overwork the poish when applying it. One stripe near the side, one stripe near the other side, and a stripe down the middle. That's it. Don't keep stroking over the polish.
3)Base coat, 2 coats of color, top coat. That is all. Too many thick layers can result in bubbling.
Hmmm...how long should I keep the polish for?
PaintBaby, I obey all those rules...and it still happens. Must be old polish.![]()

I have done my own acrylics for the last 11 years and in my experience, you shouldn't keep polish longer than 3-6 months, depending how many applications you have used out of the same bottle.

You are probably putting the polish on a little too thick and quickly between coats.
^^Venus I've noticed that happening when I put it on too think also.
If the polish is too thick, put a few drops of polish thinner in it. NOT nail polish remover, they are not the same thing! Will be as good as new. Pick it up at the drugstore. Mavala makes a nice one. Polish does not have an expiry date. It just gets thick as it ages. Polish thinner takes care of that problem.
