    Default Numb Toes

Now THIS is weird. Has anyone else had 1 or 2 numb toes due to their shoes?

I've had a toe, and sometimes the one next to it, go numb a few times over the past 2 weeks. It'll last for 3 or 4 days. It seems to happen when I wear heels. Its totally new, and I havent really changed shoes.

    Its creepy!

Do stretches. Also, shoes change over time -- you might want to find different ones, or replace the insoles.

I think toe numbness is due to the amount of pressure that gets placed on the ball of the foot, squeezing nerves. I don't have medical backup on this, it's just my observation. If this is the case, getting better cushioning in your shoe seems like the way to go . . .

Yes, this happens to me periodically, and it is scary. My friend has the same problem and has two herniated discs in her lower back. They are so far gone that she must have them fused, which causes ppl to lose 1-2 inches of height, did you know that. So her numbness is from nerve damage. Thus, I'm even more scared when it happens to me!

All of my toes go numb, and they are ice cold! I'm scared that I may be becomming diabetic because there are other signs that I may be, but it could just be from the shoes, its good to know that I'm not the only one!!!

Cold numb toes with no nerve twingeing is more likely to be bad circulation (as in, if you look at your toes and they are noticeably paler) -- I know about that one as I've had the problem many times. For that, I dip my toes in lukewarm water and rub them a little until the circulation returns.

Luscious, I believe it's pretty easy to get a blood sugar test . . . that should let you know whether you're at risk. Tonalin CLA has some negative effects on insulin tolerance that you should be cautious of, so if your test reveals blood sugar problems and you are taking this supplement, it's a good idea to discontinue it and/or start taking fish oil (which has good effects on both metabolism, and insulin tolerance).

My toes and a part of the bottom of my foot went numb when I was wearing those clear shoes that stretch during the night and then are super tight around your foot. A couple different doctor customers told me that it was nerve damage from the shoes being tight and not to worry unless it was more than a week of numbness.

I have a herniated disk and arthritus in my lower back and it is herniated backwards into my spinal column. I never notice just my toes going numb, iti s usually my whole leg....

the toes I would have to agree is a result of you shoes.
