This guy was one of my favorites. I'll always remember him as Mr Vargas ("Fast Times At Ridgemont High"), and "Ghost" (GET OFF MY TRAIN!!!). He had lung cancer and was 57.

I loved that guy! Wasn't he the algebra teacher in "Better Off dead" as well? The one that wanted to know if Laine minded if he dated Beth? One of those obscure character actors who you always go "oh...THAT guy!" RIP.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
Heh! I'd totally forgotten about him being in that movie, Chris!
"Two Dollarsssssssssssss!"
Classic.
Yep he's dead...now he's most likely hauntin a kitchen in some ritzy place in Italy, sinceone of his loves was cooking....
He also had an awesome role in an X-Files episode where he was a circus freak--he had a stillborn brother outside his body. It was great.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

^^ the thing told him to do things like it ccontrolled him. That guy....
Lung cancer is a terrible thing. I hope it was peaceful.

I saw that actor in the Galleria in Houston, with my mom, when I was a kid, after ice skating lessons. You can NEVER forget a face like that!

Sad what smoking does to the LUNGS.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Damn it! He was funny!

I liked him. He was so enjoyable. I remember him from Cuckoo's Nest and from Ghost, where he played the spirit on the subway that taught Swayze's character to interact with the real world.
I don't know if tobacco caused his lung cancer, but lung cancer is almost always caused by it, so I'll go with the odds and say:
Fucking tobacco producers have a special place in Hell waiting for them, three circles farther in than the televangelists.
RIP, Mr. Schiavelli. Thanks for the grins.
Most of the pictures I've seen of him, he has a pipe in hand (or mouth). Could've contributed to his illness and death. Very sad though. I'm sure it wasn't a very pleasant way to go.
(So says the smoker)

Vincent and "Willie Lopez"(the bad guy in Ghost) are in heaven(or hell?). "Willie" died from AIDS from shooting heroin.
