    "how to dance...."

    Hello!

I am fairly new to stripping, (danced less than 10 times!). For some reason, I can dance my ass off at a club, but when it comes to all eyes on me on stage, I "forget" how to dance and what to do...
the club i work at is a pretty classy joint, so none of the 'booty shaking' is gonna save me there! In the club, im not quite sure what movements to do... yea, sure, i 'glide' across stage, and use my arms and hands in an ode to my middle-eastern background (think 'arabian' like), but im not exactly SURE what to DO!!!!
I've desperatley TRIED watching the other girls' dance... they ALL fill up their time doing pole work, which i REFUSE to attempt until i have some kind of comfort with it. The other girls act like the audience is a camera for a PORN shoot! the way they focus on rubbing and touching on themselves...
this is NOT my style, and im SURE that this is NOT what DANCING as a STRIPPER is all about!!! sure, i make money, but i think its because of my body and my face and my personality... ive had a customer tell me that im gorgeous, but that i CANT DANCE! HE WENT ON TO SAY that the reason i was making soo much was because i looked good and that ppl felt BAD for me cause i was obviously "new to the game"...

ANY ways, i was crushed for about 10 minutes... and am currently scared to go back until i know EXACTLY what moves to do.... can ANYBODY help me??

well if you were somwhere that i could show you i would have no prob, but, i cant explain in talking..lol. Pretty much go out there and act like you are having sex. Be slow, erotic, sensual. watch the other girls and take one move from each dancera nd put your own twist to it. Good luck. IT gets easier! I dont know anyone who knew what they were doing when they first started. I look at my tapes and laugh at how i used to look and wonder what they gusy were thinking when they tipped me

oh my lord..you could've seen me when i started! LOL it wasn't a pretty sight @ all.

basically just do what you feel comfortable doing. Watch the other girls! Keep in mind that they were all newbies once too! Have you asked any of the girls there to help you out? Most likely they will be nice and want to help you out.

also if you want to work on your floor work, do it when your watching tv. you can watch yourself in the reflection so you know if you look dumb or not. but basically all you can do, is practice!!

and be careful with the polework...i've seen way too many girls fall off the pole or seriously hurt themselves, so unless you feel like you can trust your body...don't push it

You might find either of these instructional videos useful. Also try the book "The S Factor" for basic stripper moves and pole work instruction.

Practice in front of a mirror at home. If there are mirrors in your club, check out your moves in the mirror there when it is slow. I know that once I figured out to watch the mirrors at work, I had some moments that I felt like dying because I looked like such a dork!

The difference between dancing at a club and dancing on stage is that stage dancing is for the entertainment of the audience and club dancing is merely for your own pleasure, so if your movements are boring or uninspired, no one cares in the club!
