    Default What would you do?

I have a problem. My friends birthday is the 31st and my boyfriends birthday is the 1st, so they will both be celebrating on New years eve. Now my friends are throwing a birthday party for my girl down in another city while my bf wants to get a room for his bday with me. I really want to go to my friends party and I am at odds with my bf at the moment (maybe in breakup mode but have not decided yet). I dont want to leave him hanging on his bday, I care about him alot. Would you go party with your friends if you were having a major dispute with your significant other?

is there no way at all that you could go to your friend's party for just a little bit, and then get a room with your man in that town?? i'm sure you've known your friend longer, it really sucks when you have to chose, so I would try to make both people happy

If the cities were closer yes but they are almost an hour away and I dont have a car. If I was to go to my friends party I would be catching the train but my bf would be picking me up to go with him. I would just ask him to come to the party but he is so much older than my friends (and my ex will probably be there which is a big deal because my ex is still a little obsessed with me) and he has his heart set on the room

If you won't take him around your friends because hes so much older then you, then consider him your ex also, think of it as a very considerate gift to him.
My opinion, don't prolong it. Crueler to spend the day WITH him, cuz he will know the truth. You already have your mind made. Be honest with yourself!

Its not that I dont want him around them because he is older. He has met my friends before. Im just afraid that the guys are going to be younger than him and he might not mesh well with them when I want to go off somewhere with my girls and my ex is young and a little wild. I just dont want him to be uncomfortable on his birthday.

well, his birthday is on the first so you don't owe him the 31st (especially since it's a big holiday on top of that). Hang with your friends one night, and then get a hotel the next day and check in early to make hot monkey love, sleep, and eat food in bed all day long.

No, spend the night with your man. Your friends will ALWAYS be your friends. Especially if you're breaking up with him, give him one last good birthday.
