    Body weight?

I am new to all of this I was wondering what is a good weight to be at if you are 5'5. I dont want to be thin thin... but a nice thin or as my fiance would say "a lil thick" but I dont want to be thick with fat jiggling all over the place lol I want to look a good thick.. so what would be a good weight?

Depends on your bone frame- My best friend & I are the same weight but she's six inches taller...she has a thin, tall bone frame, I have thicker bones & more muscle. SO...we're both around 110-115 but look widely different.

Yep, this is why women shouldn't starve to be at a "perfect" weight....some factors are not variable, like skeleton & muscle mass.

I'm 5'4 and I weigh about 115. I'm thin, but not like gross-skinny. I have nice abs (at least I think so- not quite 6-pack, but defined) and I have a good amount of muscle. I would consider myself very lean.

I've read research that claims a BMI of 20 is said to be ideal in terms of attractiveness. I know there is huge variation in terms of body builds, but as a general guide...For 5'5", that would be a weight of 120llbs.

I am 5'3" and have a small bone structure. My doctors have always maintained that I should be about 120-125lbs to be healthy.

I'm 5"5 & 113lbs... but I feel fat. I think being toned means a lot, because six months ago I was 118 but I looked much more thin. Even though I'm 5lbs less now, my thighs are bigger and I have a miniature gut forming (I know, time to go to the gym.)

Remember muscles weighs more than fat, so if you weigh more & are toned, but it looks good, don't give it a second thought

Forget about your weight. Get to a gym, get calipered and learn your body composition. BMI scales are a fallacy.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

Casual observer is exactly right. Throw the scale away it has no meaning except to make us crazy with eating disorders. Bmi is no good either because if you have alot of muscle your numbers could appear that you could be fat. Go to a facility that has a hydrostatic scale. This scale will give you an accurate body fat measurement for about 25 dollars. It will weigh you underwater and the technician will tell you what range you fall in.

I'm 5'6'' and weigh 118 lbs. I am toned. I'm not too skinny and I'm far from fat. So I think since you're 5'5", somewhere around there would be considered an average weight too.
