    Default Shower Tan

I want this so bad!! It would be so much more convenient to get sprayed at home. If you scroll down to the bottom of the FAQ page, there is a link to a review of it. I wonder if it is worth the $$$? I think it's about $300, they have it a little cheaper on ebay.

I don't use tanning beds anymore, only selftanner. This would save me so much time. I'm willing to bet I spend at least that in one year of self tanner. Have to consider the cost of refill though...

What do you girls think of this??

I had to check this site out when I saw so many people coming to our site from here! - glad to see there's so much interest. Perhaps some of you have friends at work that would also be interested in ShowerTan so you could share the up-front cost. The ShowerTan could even be used in a club if there's a shower so it could be shared by all.

I'd be glad to answer any questions directly on here or by email - just email me at [email protected]. We can also email a copy of our instructions upon request which give a much better idea of how ShowerTan works than our site. To address the comment above regarding booster drops, we do not sell them yet because of limited demand and they are widely available on the internet. However, we can make custom concentrations of our solution upon request. Note, our standard 8% DHA gives a good medium tan on most skin types.

Also, regarding the affordability comments, ShowerTan costs a lot less than airbrushing or salon spray booths in the long run since our refills are less than $6 each when bought in bulk.

    Hi Showertan:

I noticed on your website a link to a self-tanning forum where your product was tested; many people there asked about booster drops and suggested that 8% would be too light for them.

Since it seems that the market woul demand a darker formulation be offered, why is it you guys only offer the 8%? Just curious

I am pretty certain most dancers will want a deeper tan than 8% will provide. Some girls are obsessed with tanning. I knew a girl about 2 years ago who would hit the bed twice in one day AND then apply selftanner at home. I would hate to see what she looks like now...

Thanks for the question. The tanning solution that comes with ShowerTan is an 8% DHA concentration, which is a medium level that works well for most people. Some people can get a little darker with 10% or even 12% but you have to be careful because too much can give an orange tint depending on your skin type. On the flip side, we've found that some people don't notice any difference between 8 and 12%.

Anyway, you are correct that a lot of people, especially those that already sunless tan and know their skin's sensitivity to DHA, have asked us to offer higher concentration solution or booster drops. We are actually currently testing a booster solution that will allow people to customize the concentration, and we expect to offer this on our site in the near future.

For anyone that would like to test out ShowerTan's tanning solutions, which are aloe vera based and give a beautiful golden sunless tan, we sell trial size 4 Oz. pump spray bottles on our site in clear (STC) or with Bronzer (STB).

Note, ShowerTan can also be used with other brands of solution for people that already have a preference.

Please don't hesitate with any other comments or questions.

Yeah, but what a pain in the ass it would be to clean your shower! My shower turns into a "Slip and Slide" whenever I do my 'spray tan from a can'. They claim the normal solution is a clear formula, but I can only imagine the mess if you were to add the bronzer drops. Plus, what about ventilation of the fumes? The booths that I have visited have strong suction fans that come on after the spray. As far as I am aware, most bathrooms don't have industrial grade vents. Anyway, just looking at the flip side of something that "seems" like a cool idea.

^^It seems cool, but also a bit of a pain in the ass. Like something you'd spend the money on, use it a couple of times, then it sits in a corner somewhere collecting dust.

For cleaning the shower I have a mechanism that attaches to the showerhead and spins and cleans the shower. It doesn't get rid of lots of old soap scum or anything but I thought if I used it after this it'd clean the shower. It's called Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner and cost about $17 from Walmart. It comes with 2 containers of solution and you can buy more that's not too expensiive.

I'm still debating whether to buy the Shower Tan because I'm not sure how well it'd work. I want to hope it'd work great because I'm tired of spending 15-20 minutes each time doing self tanner individual sheets which are the quickest that I know of other than the Mystic Tan booths that I'd spend more time driving to. (I also don't do bed tans because skin cancer runs in my family.)

That's what I was thinking. But, I don't fake tan since everything I've ever tried turns me orange. *sigh* So I don't have much to add here.

It cracks me up that the owner of that site came over here. Like, "Hmm, I'm getting a lot of traffic from... stripperweb.com? .... Cool!"

My shower/tub just has a curtain, no glass enclosure. The shit would get everywhere. Plus, I have goregous large slate tiles in there, it could stain them! I'll pass on this one.

I couldn't help coming back when I saw the traffic coming again!

And to add to the discussion, we are now offering the ShowerTan system with a 14 day money back guarantee on eBay! Here's the listing:

We'd love to have someone here try it and post feedback for everyone. It really doesn't stain at all, hardly even makes a mess, and the results are as good as a salon spray booth. But I know people may find that hard to believe until someone really tries it.

By the way, all of the testimonials on our site are 100% real. - and you can also check out our 100% positive ebay feedback.

Please don't be shy with any other questions.

I'm with Kat on this one...I Mystic a couple times a week, and I can see how the stuff could get messy in the shower. I think I'd just stick with the monthly fee I pay rather than having to clean my shower every time I want a spray tan.

I've managed to get this Mystic stuff down to an art...in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Right now, I'm stuck on old school tanning....I own my own tanning bed and I like that my tan can last for weeks without me having to do anything. I've tried the self tanning stuff, and I absolutely hate it. So no shower tan for me anytime soon.

    Hi ,

Thanks for contacting ShowerTan! That would be great if you want to take advantage of our 14 day money back guarantee. Basically, when you buy it on eBay, you can return it for any reason within 14 days and get all your money back except for the shipping charges and $45 for the solution, which you can keep. So, if you win the auction at our minimum bid of $285 + S&H, we will refund $240 if you decide to send it back to us within 14 days.

Please understand, we will not be able to give a unit away for the purpose of getting someone to post, which would then be a biased opinion anyway.

Please don't hesitate with any other questions.

    Best Regards,
    Rick Buswell
