what the fajesus were you doing!?!?!?! thats some nasty bruising!
Do you bruise easily? It might be time for some diet changes ... or even more...

Damnit eat some meat! lol ...only b/c it has iron in it to help with the bruises. Arnica gel you can get at any health food or vitamin store. Ice anything ...you look like you got attacked by a hitman.
Good you had a good night though! Im all for people making money.

Ouch!
Arnica cream is a dancers best friend! (The pills are good too if you can get the homeopathic ones and take them properly!)
You may not need to take extra iron, just vitamin C or both. You can't absorb iron properly without the C and often when people bruise easilly it's the vitamin C they lack.
Glad you had a good night anyway, it makes it all worth it sometimes! (-:

maybe you should see a doctor, hon.... anemia and several other medical conditions can cause severe, easy bruising.... *(~worried~)*

Good grief! I don't think I've ever seen knees bruised that bad!

Well, that's pretty bad--but every newbie I've ever worked with has had relatively severe bruising. I have rarely seen it as bad as yours, but yes I have, lol.
But though I have worked with seasoned veterans with bruising problems, it always gets better, at least. From the looks of it, you are having the most trouble either getting down to get tips or just coming down on the knees too hard to do stage work. As you get more experience, you will find ways to do this a little lighter.
Diet will probably help as well.
I'm glad you had fun and did well your first night!

On the bright side, you have nice long legs so at least you'll look good in your thigh-his.![]()

Yup, just bought some more fishnets and thigh highs.
And I do eat a LOT, just not very healthy, trying to work on that.Right now I barely have money for gas, let alone groceries. But this is after 2 nights dancing, and I ve been getting tipped REALLY good onstage, so I guess its worth it?
Ah yes. I recall the "new to dancing" legs. When I was trying to learn pole work I had a bruise that stretched from just below my shoulder down past my wrist. That was sexy. Tall boots and socks to hide it until you get "hardened".
I have taught that the sky in all its zones is mortal and its substance was formed by a process of birth
I worked for 12 hours on New Year's Eve. Mine were worse! And my knees were swollen up like basketballs. Yeah, this is an easy job - NOT! Sheesh, I've STILL got a nasty bruise on my hip. It's totally black and taking forever to heal.

Where are you dancing at? I would love to see your stage show!!!!
(PM me if you don't want Blade to know....)
I want to see you in action!! I always seem to miss the other Tucson ladies!![]()
Because there ain't no tits on the radio

Glucosamine really works well to prevent/diminish bruising. I'm very prone to bruises, and it worked. I used to take Glucosamine/Choindroit (sp?)/MSM combo. And yeah, up your vit C intake. Emergen C has MSM in it too.
Congrats on making money! When I had great nights and my legs looked like yours I actually got some perverted sense of pride from it sometimes, like war wounds or something, lol.

Oh, this is funny!!! (the past few posts between Hk and CF I mean)
You guys might even know each other, but it took SW to bring you two together!!!
I love it!
As for the bruising, it takes time. They will go away, and your skin will toughen up to the point that you won't bruise easy like that.
I have danced on and off for over 11yrs now, and I rarly bruise at all anymore.
Glad you had fun and made money!!!!
Damn that's some awful bruising! I hope I dont look like that after a night...
Ouch CF, my knees hurt just looking at your pics! Maybe you could try wearing some kind of theme costume that would let you wear kneepads. Like a sexy bike cop or roller blade girl or maybe even some sort of sexy construction worker, WWF or football outfit. You could probably get most of the stuff at second-hand stores, but I would buy the kneepads brand new and good quality. You shouldn't have to hurt yourself to make money.
Good lord sweetie that looks painfulI think you'll find you could take it down a notch and still make money. I avoid going down on stage at all (I'm not 21 anymore) I still get more tips than most, I just use my charming personality

yea last night was good for me..and now i can barely walk today! i had to call out sick tonight
how does arnica cream help bruising? does it prevent it or help it heal faster?
~The best revenge is enjoying life.
I certainly can understand how that feels, the first 4-5 weeks after I got my own pole to practice at home I looked just as bad! My legs literally looked spotted like a leopard! My knees were covered, had more bruised skin than unbruised! My inner thighs were loaded with deep dark bruises, one that even had a hard lump under it which took almost 2 months to completely heal. Not to mention the bruises on my lower legs, hips and other strange places like my shoulder blades !?! lol
Granted I do tend to bruise more easily than most and had been practicing pretty aggressively. The funny thing is, out of almost all of the bruises I got, I never felt the injury that caused it! I would just discover them a few hours later or the next day.
Thankfully the lighting at my club is very forgiving and pretty dark. Even the stage isn't strongly lit and mostly with red lights that help hide such imperfections even more!
I'm happy to report though that the bruising isn't nearly as bad as it was at first. I've still got lots to learn with polework and continue to get some new bruises pretty regularly, but not as many and not as big.
The hardest things for me was learning to take a break here and there, not to overdo it. It's still hard because I love practicing and working out this way, it's just easier on my body to do it smarter and pace myself giving myself long enough breaks to recuperate.

Yeah anemia could have something to do with it. If it lasts long after Newbie Legs should wear off... I've been dancing close to 6 years now and I come home every day with leopard spots on my legs. Just from the floor... I dont do pole tricks.
