    Default Celebrities at the SC

Okay, so I make a stop at one of the local SC's last night, find a seat, scan the room and who do I see across the room but what looks like David Spade, he's an Arizona native so I thought it could be him, when one of my faves stop by I ask her and she confirms it, she says he stops in every once in awhile if in town but says he NEVER spends any money. Apparenty being a celebrity, one of the perks is you don't need to spend money, and he did have a steady stream of ladies stopping by his table throughout the night (although many also avoided him like the plague).

On other visits I've seen Mike Tyson (boxer) and Shawn Marion (of the Phx Suns), both of whom seemed to have no trouble spending money BTW.

Has anyone else seen ever any celebrities at the SC?

I used to frequent a club in the SF Bay area back in the 90's, I saw several members of the SF 49ers but never have seen any from the entertainment world.

I used to see Marvin Hagler all the time at my very first regular club fifteen or so years ago. I see a lot of new England Patriots players in one of my Providence haunts. A fav of mine used to do vip with Mo Vaugn when he was with the Red Sox.

Yeah, I saw Mike Tyson one afternoon at the HiLiter in Phx. Although he was getting some attention, several girls told me he was a cheap jerk that was always trying to grab ass. I would hate to be the bouncer trying to tell him stop! He was definitely a scary looking dude.

Your comments about David Spade are also similar to others I've heard about him. One of the things I like about going to SCs is being relatively anonymous. I don't think the extra attention would be worth the hassle of being a celebrity. Just give me the cash without the image!

    Hrm, let me see...

    Vince Neil
    Members of Korn
    Jon Bon Jovi
    Sugar Ray Leonard
Dante Culpepper (and various other Minnesota Vikings)

Perhaps the oddest was Kelly Clarkson

    I think that's it.

I think I posted about this on the Pink before, but here's a rehash, from my old lil hole-in-the-wall bikini club in NoCal:

*Various hockey players (it was the closest SC-type place to San Jose Arena), including Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, and Owen Nolan in the same night.

*Various football players (once stood in the DJ booth with Eric Barton of the Raiders, and also saw Jeff Garcia when he was with the 49ers and didn't suck).

*Believe it or not, Rudy Galindo (the week he won the men's U.S. Figure Skating Championship).

*And, because one of my buddies was friends with the Oakland A's trainer, I was introduced to Jim Thome, David Justice, and Dwight Gooden when they all played for the Cleveland Indians.

Also, I had apparently been in Club Paradise in Las Vegas on the same nights as: Charlie Sheen, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and Dennis Rodman. I even remember being fetched to buy a disposable camera from the convenience store that is kitty-corner to CP, so someone could get a picture with Charlie Sheen in the VIP room.

No major pro sports teams locally, and a lot of the big musical acts skip over us for KC, Denver, or Dallas. WWE comes through occassionally. It wouldn't surprise me if some celebs have stopped in, but since I am often too concerned with my own business, I could probably look such folks in the eye and not recognize them.

Oh yeah, I've seen some wrestlers too, the only one I recognized was Brock Lesner. He's another I wouldn't want to have to bounce out.

I love Clyde the Glide!! He came into The Colorado in the mid 90's when I was a waitress there, but sadly I never had a chance to meet him.

Not quite sure i would call him a celebrity, but Pauly Shore.
And I dont think I would have known this other one if someone didnt tell me, but Holcomb (RB for Rams).

Vince Neil came to our club one night, i was nervous and called him Tommy Lee by mistake. This was pre-motley crue reunion - Woops, i dont think he liked that too much however i made amends by buying him a few red wines.

I could also tell i was getting old when i warned the girls of his impending visit and most of them said "Who?".

I've seen Gilbert Brown and Leroy Butler from the Green Bay Packers. Both of them were cheap and didn't tip a single dollar to anyone, nor did they buy any dances.

I've heard Pauly Shore (if you consider him a celebrity) has been to a club around here. I've never seen him personally, but I heard he's cheap and an asshole.

Many years ago in Okla City I saw Morganna, the Kissing Bandit. I'll always remember her as she took a customer's cowboy hat and stuck it on her breast during a stage dance. It was quite a thrill - I'm still looking for such a talented dancer!

Is this a valid excuse for him not tipping or buying any dances?

I met David at his brother's wedding. That whole family is hilarious - David's mom is the funniest by far and they all hate their dad.

Part of how they got this great sense of humor is because they grew up in a Casa Grande run down apartment complex. So David might be cheap, the guy grew up with nothing. My psycho ex-wife used to drive him to shool in HS. If you see David ever do stand up and talks about growing up - it's not a joke - it's all true.

Oh yeah- most people know this already, but David's brother is the rich one -- Kate Spade bags.

I've never met a real celeb in an SC. I've met footballers, but I can't stand football and never know who they are. They always seem to get swarmed by the groupies when they arrive though but I don't think they are particularly good spenders.

I've met most of em and helped escort 1 or 2 out
    Various rappers
Back in the day....Mark Calloway(undertaker) used to frequent the club I started in, until the owner (a semi- celeb himself Dennis Dean) stopped givin him drinks and started hasseling the wwf guys
I'm sure theres been more but who pays attention to other guys when theres tits to be seen?
